Additional Information

Peshawar, the capital of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan, boasts a history that traces back to at least 539 BCE, marking it as the heart of the bygone Gandhara region. Notably, it was the seat of the Kushan Empire’s power. Peshawar held significant importance as a trading hub during the Mughal period before becoming the winter capital of the Afghan Durrani Empire in 1757. It was seized by the Sikh Empire in 1818, followed by the British in 1849. We aim to explore Peshawar within one day, taking in the historical neighborhood with its intricately carved wooden balconies, trekking through Sethi Mohalla which is conserved by the government, and the Qissa Khawani Bazaar (Story Teller Bazaar). The tour includes visits to the Mughal era’s Mahabat Khan Mosque and Peshawar Museum. There are additional custom options available, such as the Khyber Pass (with necessary approval), Bala Hisar Fort (requiring approval), and Jamrud Fort.
