Like spending the day visiting old friends - This was a fantastic way to personalize an introduction to the gorgeous Douro Valley. Our guide Nunu Pires was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about his native country. He is truly a people person and loved hearing about our travels and life in America. There are four stops on this all day adventure. First is a small, family owned vineyard where the owner treats you like old friends who have dropped in for a visit. She takes you through the winemaking process and explains the characteristics of the wine while you drink and nibble on lovely local appetizers. Next, a truly unique lunch in a restaurant in a tiny town that has been in one family for generations. Then your guide takes you on a gorgeous drive down to the river to take a one hour boat trip through the valley. The views are spectacular and we were lucky to have a breeze. Last, we were taken to a large winery for a cocktail with more stunning views. I highly recommend this tour and our amazing guide, Nunu!

It’s totally worth it. The experience was outstanding. The service is exceptional! - It was a private tour for the six of us. We first went to Quinta Seara d’ordens for wine tasting. Their wines were surprisingly good! The Vindimas Bordeaux red blend was delicious. Then we went for a river cruise at Pinhao along the Douro River. We had lunch at a small restaurant called Casa Tipica Papas Zaide at a small town. The food was good but especially given that the restaurant can only serve a limited numbers of patrons because it’s a family style operation. Afterward we went to have a cocktail made with white Port at a villa high up on the hills overlooking the Douro valley. The trip was excellent. The driver was very attentive and friendly and took good care of us.

A memorable day with our brilliant guide, Nuno Pires - We had an unforgettable private tour of the Douro Valley, led by our extremely talented and engaging guide, Nuno Pires. His deep and broad knowledge of the region and passion for the land shone through. His natural storytelling ability and love of history made it an enriching and meaningful experience. Nuno’s caring and considerate manner was appreciated as he adapted to the 3 generations in our family. Just as impressive was his fluency in English! We cannot recommend him enough! He is an asset to Your Tours!

Big group Duoro Valley - My family and I (15 total) took this tour and it was absolutely incredible! Our tour guide Maria was amazing, took her time teaching us all about the history of wines and the land around us. We had 4 kids with us and she took the time to listen to them and make sure they were having a great time. It was the perfect outing for our family. Our driver was also an expert of the road driving our van on the narrow roads making it look easy! We loved the first winery, lunch and boat ride. Our last stop at Trinidad was a bit of a disappointment, we found the place to be fun but the people working weren’t very friendly and welcoming. They made some rude comments towards my parents making the atmosphere uncomfortable and unenjoyable. The drink they made was delicious! We just didn’t finish ours so we could make a quicker exit. I would absolutely recommend the tour to everyone I know. Hopefully they change the last stop to a more pleasant place to make for more of a chill vibe to end the day.

Wonderful day in Duoro. - My friend and I loved Sophia. She was very knowledgeable about the area and historical facts. I would not recommend the boat portion of the tour. It was very hot when we got on the boat with minimal air flow. The views were gorgeous but we had no idea what we were looking at. The “wine and chill” moment was very intimate. The drink was fabulous. Overall, we would recommend this to friends, especially Sophia, but we would ask for a different option for boat tour.
