Setting Sail on the Aegean

The morning sun was just beginning to cast its golden glow over the port of Petra as I arrived, eager to embark on the Lesvos Coastline Cruise. As a marine biologist, the allure of the Aegean Sea was irresistible, promising a day of exploration and relaxation. The Mercury Express, our vessel for the day, was docked beside a navy boat, its deck already bustling with fellow adventurers. I was fortunate to secure one of the coveted sunbeds on the upper deck, a perfect spot to soak in the sun and the sea breeze.

As we set sail at 10:00, the gentle rocking of the boat and the distant view of the Turkish coastline set a serene backdrop. The journey to Molivos port was a delightful prelude, picking up more passengers and adding to the camaraderie on board.
