Great experience meeting this imperial city - Carlos, the tour guide, was really nice and outgoing. We really loved the tour through the city and also the place where we had lunch was great. We would definitely recommend this visit.

Great trip and very good value- don't miss Bohemia beer tour, very interesting and dirt cheap including 3 beers - Petropolis was interesting, very different to Rio with historic palace etc. Bohemia beer tour of brewery incredible bargain for seniors at 19 reals (£3)!!

Brazil Imperial resort - We toured this resort hotel that was originally built as a Palace. Then we toured the old Imperial Palace, now a museum where you have to wear cloth boots and no photos are allowed. Next stop was the old beer factory for lunch and tour. We also toured the inside of a house that has 7 mistakes on the exterior. And the church stands out in the town, looking down the waterway.

Interesting tour - Very interesting tour. We learnt a lot about Brazil history. The guide was very good and invest time for wide background and explanations. We were the only English speaking in the tour and we got special attention from the guide

Osleide was the most amazing guide to Petropolis!!! - Osleide was amazing! So passionate about her beautiful country’s history, architecture and was fluent in English! It was a pleasure taking the tour with her, she recommended the brewery tour afterwards and I’m glad I took her advice because it was amazing as well! It’s people like her that make a difference be tween a good tour and a bad One , kudos to Osleide - she was definitely amazing! Ask for her please: Osleide!!! Ricardo 🇺🇸 Embassy

City in the mountains! - Beautiful day. I was the last pick up, thankfully. I was given notice from tour company they were a bit late for my pick up, very thoughtful! Nice group to travel with. Clean Mercedes van. I was the only English speaking person so there wasn't a lot of translating for me tho I could figure most of it out. It seemed to me it could have been better if we had just 1 stop instead of 2 before we got there to move things along. First stop for bathroom was at a strange location at a restaurant parking lot. Nothing to do for 20 min. Next stop at the chocolate store, only a bit further, was cute w/more than chocolate. Stayed there too long as well. This is a lovely city. You can understand why it's popular. The imperial palace is impressive. We finally had lunch after 2:00. It was a good buffet with many options. Afterwards, the church and crystal palace were worthwhile. Then off to shop for an hour. By now it's getting dark. Had the time been better managed....

Nice city to visit in the mountains - The pick up was late, but once we finally got started, all was good. The tour was a full day—11 hours. Very nice with good stops and a good guide. I have a feeling that the company that we booked with farmed us off to another company that had a longer tour. We enjoyed it. The guide tried to speak English after every stop as we were the only English speakers. She did a good job.

Poorly organised tour - Sights visited in Petropolis were ok but whole trip took way longer than it should have. We were picked up by Férias Turismo 45 mins late at 9.30 instead of 8.45am. No message sent to explain there would be a delay and I tried to contact phone number given and message online but no response. Then another hour by the time we actually left the city. Appreciate people need to be collected from various hotels but 30mins after we were picked up the bus was back at the hotel beside ours to pick others up, which made no sense. Bus needed an upgrade and microphone quality was poor so hard to hear guide, although his English was fine. Stopped for 20 mins bathroom break on the way to Petropolis, which was needed given some people had been on the bus for approx 1.5 hours by then, if not more. Once we got to Petropolis our guide had trouble getting some of our group to keep to time schedule. Recognise not only his fault they were late - one couple were 45 mins later back to bus than the appointed time! - but he did not seem to be able to keep track of people, even tho he had taken telephone numbers. But did not seem to use that info. And I also think he should have made it clearer to everyone what time we needed to be back to the bus. We had a choice of either shopping or brewery in the afternoon. Shopping was not much tbh - maybe brewery was better but I would have skipped this whole hour. We did not get back to hotel until 7.45pm. That’s too long a day, especially when a lot of it was spent waiting around for people.
