Gem of a City - Rafa was an outstanding tour guide for Petropolis. He gave a great overview of the city’s history. The rich German culture is seen throughout the city. You can see his joy and passion in his role as a tour guide.

Excellent guide - Liked this tour. Excellent guide. Tour was conducted in English, Spanish and. Portuguese by the same guide simultaneously. Guide helped me get to a tourist site I wanted to while everyone else shopped which I appreciated. Long bus ride but thankfully we could sleep/nap as the guide didn’t talk to much during this time.. Guide picked me up and delivered me safely as scheduled. Lunch was mediocre but the food at the chocolate store towards the end of the tour was delicious. Well thought out tour in terms of pacing, bathroom breaks and scheduled stops. Excellent guide overall.

Petropolis worth visiting. - Petropolis is definitely worth the visit. Its an interesting place with lots to see but don’t take the lunch option. It is awful. Bad food in a dingy resturant and certainly not worth the additional cost. The tour guide spoke English well but his explanations in Spanish and Portuguese was extensive and basically one sentence in English so you cannot rely on that. The bus was had very dirty windows not ideal when you are on a tour. If you can rather do this trip independently or even if you hire a car for the day.

Not worth the amount charged - The tour guide spoke in 3 different languages, one of which was English, by the time one aspect or monument is explained it is half an hour down the line, therefore minimum information is gain as all the venues have a limited time frame to spend and take pictures. Tour guide did not come into museum with us and half the antiques and historical features were not explained in English therefore had no idea what I was looking at! Felt like it was a long, tiring and draining day, with hardly any advantage from the trip Communication throughout for plans for individuals visiting Bohemia, meeting points were not clear or very well organised. I would recommend having smaller groups with one language tour guide groups who are separated according to the language spoken in order to gain the most from this experience.

Trip too long in time - 4 stars up until all sights were visited around 3:30 pm. 2 more hours wasted around a chocolate place
