Highlights
  • Edro III Shipwreck - The trip will take you to the Sea Caves, a unique work of nature. It is a state-protected natural landmark and is an unusual rock formation on the sea shore. Not far from the Sea Caves is the ship EDRO III, flying the flag of Sierra Leone, was laden with plasterboard and ran aground near Pegea on 8 December 2011, while sailing to Rhodes from Limassol. EDRO III weighs approximately 2,345 kg and is 80 metres long. According to the Cyprus Marine Environment Protection Association, the ship is completely free of cargo and fuel and lies on the sea cliffs at an angle of 11-12 degrees. Landing on the ship is no longer allowed as it is dangerous. Together with CIMEXTA, the German ship-lifting company, the tasks of safely removing residual diesel, hydrocarbons and other marine pollutants from the ship and sealing the hull were assigned to the Cyprus Ship-lifting Company. All tasks were completed in October 2013.
  • Blue Lagoon - On the way to the Blue Lagoon which will take around 1 hour, we will have the opportunity to see the coastal Akamas nature reserve area from the sea. As soon as we reach Blue Lagoon we will have 1 hour of swimming and the captain will treat you with local wine (red, white), orange juice, and seasonal fruits, as well as with life jackets. Swim in crystal clear water, fresh sea breeze, wine, and fruit - it is a real treat! Finally, we head on our way back to Latchi port on which we enjoy for aproximately the last hour of this peaceful journey.
  • Latchi Beach - Next stop – the fishing village of Latchi, from the port of which we will continue to travel by ship.
  • Baths of Aphrodite - Then we will go to the Botanical Garden, where in a cozy corner lies a grotto with a romantic name – Baths of Aphrodite.

The blue lagoon was by... - The blue lagoon was by far the best part of the excursion. Our only bit of feedback would be to lengthen the boat trip so that’s longer and don’t do the wine tasting. It was good was the wine tasting but not the best. Other than that. An amazing day out

Good places to see but I have been on better tours - The places we saw were good (although some a little overrated). The tour guides were good and tried to be enthusiastic but the organisation was a bit all over the place and there were far too many people on the tour so I found it hard to heat the tour guide who tried her best. The boat was overcrowded and the included snorkelling equipment was hard to get hold of and then was broken when we tried to use it. This tour was at best average

Disappointing and not worth it - Our full-day trip to the Blue Lagoon was underwhelming and poorly managed, with only one redeeming feature—the Blue Lagoon itself. The day began with a stop at a shipwreck, which was a complete letdown. The area was littered with trash and offered nothing of interest. It felt like a waste of time. Unfortunately, the visit to Aphrodite’s Bath wasn’t any better. The site was dirty, muddy, and just as unappealing as the shipwreck stop. We also had free time in Latchi before the boat arrived, which turned out to be another wasted opportunity. There was little to do except wait around, making the long day feel even longer. The boat ride to the Blue Lagoon was decent, though it wasn’t the highlight we had hoped for. The Blue Lagoon itself was beautiful, with crystal clear, warm waters. However, it was overcrowded with people and boats, and the constant noise from the crowds was far from relaxing. Adding to the disappointment, the boat didn’t have snorkels as promised. The bus ride to and from the locations was another downside. The air conditioning was barely working, making the long journey uncomfortable. Given the time and effort required for this “full day adventure,” it was hard to justify the trip, as only the boat ride was worth doing. Overall, the experience fell short of expectations. The day felt drawn out, with most of it spent on activities that didn’t live up to the hype. If you’re considering this trip, be aware that it might not be worth your time or money.
