Patriots of Greek wine. They work mostly with aboriginal varieties and get amazing results with aged wines. In places such as Crete, wine is more than just a product of its environment and climate; it is a narration of the region’s history, its people, and their customs.

On this excursion, we will explore 2 vineyards and participate in tastings.

A stroll through the vineyards will provide an opportunity for us to converse regarding the various types of grapes - both local and foreign - and the unique methods by which this extraordinary plant is nurtured and cultivated in this region.

We will tour the winemaking facilities and wine storage areas, and if circumstances permit, have an opportunity to taste the wine at various stages of its development.

The wine tastings will adhere to standard guidelines, enhancing your understanding and appreciation of the wine’s sensory characteristics.

Our day of vineyard exploration concludes with a feast reminiscent of the great banquets of ancient Greece - relish the rural cuisine and the warm, genuine hospitality of Crete in a classic tavern!

Expect the tour to last 5-6 hours, inclusive of travel time (the exact duration may vary depending on your hotel’s location).
