10/10 Tour! - This tour was incredible. I highly recommend. This is a great tour for locals and visitors alike. Mijuel was an absolutely incredible guide. I loved the way he brought history to life. He kept us engaged throughout the two hours, introduced us to iconic figures of Philadelphia, and kept us laughing with his jokes.

Great Tour! - The Black Journey Walking Tour is well worth the time and money. The Guide was interesting and engaging. The group was not too big. My friends and I were touring our own city and learned so much! I wish this information was taught in school history classes.

Although I missed the... - Although I missed the first hour, Mijuel was quite informative and shared a lot of great details about the Black history of the city. I will highly recommend this tour to others! My only ask is that a direct phone number to the company be added to the website in the event one has a question. And perhaps place a couple of time steps on the itinerary -- so that late comers can readily catch up to the group. Otherwise, it was a wonderful experience. Thanks again, Mijuel!

Awesome Tour Guide in Unexpected Weather! - Awesome!!! Mijuel is a PHE-nomemal tour guide!!! Extremely knowledgeable and fun. This tour was on an unexpected, cold, April weekend in Philly. But our group braved the cold because Mijuel made the tour just that interesting and informative. We did stop off at the Wawa for coffee and snacks, and to get warm. I will definitely be on the lookout for the next offering of the 7th Ward tour....hopefully in more reliable, warm weather. 😁☺️ Nevertheless, book this tour!!! You will not be disappointed!!!

Pleasant Walking Tour - This tour was absolutely amazing! I learned so much! Philadelphia has a TON of African American History. The tour guide ( Mijuel) was soooo knowledgeable! I didn't want the tour to end! We visited the historic 7th ward, visited former Congress Hall ( where the Fugitive Slave Act was created), visited a former gravesite for enslaved and free black people and SO SO much more! I loved it so much I plan on booking again!

Great Walking Tour - I enjoyed my AA History Walking Tour with Mijuel. He was very knowledgeable & professional. Our group was small & very manageable. I only wish we could have seen a bit more, but it was my first tour of Philly, so I would strongly recommend.
