Quick sampling of American history - The tour gave a great, quick look at things like the location of homes of George Washington and Ben Franklin, the exterior of Independence Hall, Franklin’s print shop, the building where the continental congress met, Betsy Ross’ home, Franklin’s grave, and the Liberty Bell through its glass encasement. After the tour, we had an opportunity to go back and revisit many of the sites more closely. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. The tour provided a great introduction into Philadelphia’s role in our nation’s independence.

Easy to maneuver, very affordable, tickets were 1.00 and 3.00 and many places free. - This is a very touching experience. As an American, who loves history, and clearly remembers reading this in our school books, I was nearly brought to tears. To stand where our forefathers, the men who fought for their freedom was an amazing experience. Thank heavens for the people that saved these properties and artifacts so we may reflect upon them in these times.

Recommend! - Michael was absolutely amazing. Wonderful knowledge, very personable. He was born and raised in Philly and was able to speak in depth and with pride about the places that were on the tour, and also gave me recommendations about other places to see and places to eat.

Spent a lovely fall day roaming historic Philadelphia - Lots of fun tidbits of information. The guide was a born and bred Philadelphian who took a lot of pride in both local and national history. Wear your walking shoes, a hat, bring a drink if needed.

Good overview of the area and sites for further investigation - John did a good job describing the sites and explaining what places to visit for a more extensive tour of a historical place. I was extremely happy that the tour was not cancelled even though it was just me and my wife during that tour time.

Save your money - My experience was ok. I would not recommend spending the money for this tour. Your better off seeing the places yourself and reading about it on every sign you see before the houses and buildings. Save your money. My tour guide was young and a little sarcastic responding to a question I have asked. I did NOT like that. I hope this helps other people that look into this tour on helping them save there money on other better tours.

We left the tour after... - We left the tour after the first three stops. Guide shared information that was unhelpful and in a tone that was strange and almost mockingly theatrical. He was nice, but we learned nothing and decided we were better off spending our time walking around on our own.
