Hop-On Hop-Off Sightseeing Tour (Route)

Operating Schedule: Beginning at the Bourse Building right across from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, plug into our multi-lingual headphone audio to discover the origins of America, since Philadelphia is where America’s Founding Fathers first declared independence from England, and then ratified the US Constitution and Bill of Rights to start the new nation. Along the way, enjoy stunning views of such historic landmarks including the Christ Church Burial Grounds, Elfreth’s Alley, the Betsy Ross House, and Independence Hall, to name just a few.

As you head west, see the Friendship Gate in Chinatown, be amazed by the architecture of Philadelphia’s City Hall, and be sure to explore the various museums along Benjamin Franklin Parkway, including the Barnes Foundation – known as the world’s largest collection of post-impressionistic art in the world. As you continue your journey, marvel at Philadelphia’s growing skyline and get a bird’s-eye view from atop the One Liberty Observation Deck. Real Live Guides! - Whenever available, we always try the hop on hop off buses. It was nice that this particular operation, you don't need to use the headphones, there are actual guides that commentate. A very nice change, not sure if this has been done world wide. We rode the 90 minute tour around, then picked the places we wanted to stop at, and did another circle around. It was an extremely warm day, so very happy we were able to use the bus and not walk everywhere. This tour takes you to all of the major attractions. Overall, we had 5 different guides, and they were all really good. Our first guide was hilarious.

Fantastic tour of Philadelphia! - I was extremely happy with the hop on hop off. I did not hop off I stayed on the bus for the entire 26 stops. My first time in the city and was so happy to see all the highlights of the city. Our tour guide was exceptional. I took the first tour on July 23rd. He was very thorough explaining in detail at every stop. You have a very good employee. He even mentioned how much he liked his job and sharing his knowledge he has on the city of Philadelphia.

Very good tour - The tour guides were very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. It was a good way to get a taste of Philadelphia. One of the bus drivers (sorry, I didn't catch her name) was so welcoming, and periodically blew bubbles out her window...leaving smiles on passersby.

Totally Worth the Money - The route was long and very informative. The guide was a little annoying, laughing at his own corny jokes the entire route. The shuttle service picked us up at our hotel exactly on time. I recommend this for anyone visiting the city for the first time, like us.

An Intro To Philly - This is a great way to explore Philadelphia and become familiar with the city. I hopped off on at least 8 different locations and never had to wait more than 15-20 min for the next bus.

Nice easy way to see the city - Fun tour, nice easy way to see the city. We had two different tour guides The first one was a woman and she was pretty good. The second one was a young man and I think he was making a lot of stuff up. He didn’t offer to stop at the last three stops, which was one of the ones we wanted to get off at. But otherwise, it was a good time. Will come visit Philadelphia again

Just so-so - The tour guide was fairly informative, but the speakers in the back didn’t work so we heard very little. The headphones we tried only spoke in spanish. We just zoomed by most things, but I didn’t find them interesting anyway. The best thing was the cool breeze on the upper deck :)
