kalangaman from cebu city - this island is a must when visiting leyte or cebu. its better to go there from leyte rather than cebu. the long travel hours from cebu then staying in the island for 4hours is not enough.

Don't take this trip - Firstly. my driver from BusTouristic was amazing! Secondly, this trip isn't worth to be taken due to the extremely inversting of time you need to to this island. I had a delay and couldn't see Malapuscua island (40 minutes as described in the trip description). The mask I have rented wasn't good but I hadn't any time to refund that.

Do not book this. Do it on your own. - DO NOT BUY THIS TOUR. Dont get me wrong, Kalanggaman island is a beautiful paradise. This tour - isn't. First of all this tour means you'd be spending 6 hrs each way to get to Kalanggaman (3 hrs in car, 1 hr in first ferry, and 2 more hrs in second ferry) for a total of 12 traveling hours in one day just to spend 3 hrs actually there on Kalanggaman. Then there is the matter of price. I felt so so incredibly stupid for paying for this when individual prices for each ferry and entry to Kalanggaman are mere few dollars. You could literally do this of a tenth of the price - this tour is such a rip off. I wanted to throw up when I found out real prices for each thing included. Lastly, when I booked they advertised a seafood lunch (they could have changed their description by this time) but when we got there they said no seafood - only chicken. Well - I dont eat meat so while a lunch might seem minor- hungry doesnt feel so great after waking up at 2am to get picked up at 3 am, then spending 6 hrs of travel (+ 2 hrs of wait at the ferry dock), watching everyone else pay pennies and feeling robbed, only to get not-what-you-paid-for lunch at 1pm with no other options.

Once there it was great, getting there and getting back is a different story. - Let’s start off with the island excursion. It was a phenomenal experience. I had to ensure it stayed a phenomenal experience the whole way. We arrived at the port for our first water transfer. The captain would not leave port until we got a certain amount of passengers. We could either wait until we had enough people or pay for the seats and we can get going. As you know, you can take your chances with waiting and screw up your transfer at the other location. So, I paid the 2,000 pesos (about $35 USD). The captain of the first leg says to me, I will see you at 4:30 for the transfer back. We arrived at the dock after the excursion around 4:25 and the boat had already left. Note, this was no fault of mine because the captain of the other boat dropped us off on the other side of the island and we had to literally rush back to the docks. Left with waiting for another boat to fill up with people, our transfer host (Bembo) was able to get another captain to take us and we only had to pay 600 pesos ($10 USD). Needless to say, be financially prepared to pay to get things moving along above what you paid for or wait and miss your connections and excursion. There is a lack of a phone number to call if there is an emergency or issues on the trip. The agency worked through only the message app inside of the Viator app. It looked like the agency stitched this together and relied on every independent agent to work together. It was not a seamless experience.
