  • Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum - Explore the somber and tragic chapter of Cambodian history at the Genocide Museum. Originally a girl’s school, it was transformed into a site of imprisonment, torture, and detention before victims were sent to the Killing Fields.
  • Choeung Ek Genocidal Center - Located 45 minutes away, the Killing Fields is another crucial historical site of the Khmer Rouge Genocide in Phnom Penh. After this visit, we will return to the city for lunch.
  • Independence Monument - After visiting the Killing Fields, we will have a lunch break either at the Killing Fields or back in the city following the 45-minute drive. The time allocated for the Independence Monument includes this lunch break and the return drive. Begin the afternoon by learning about the impressive Independence Monument, symbolizing Cambodia’s independence from French colonization, which lasted from 1863 to 1953. Entry to the Park Strip is free.
  • Statue of King Father Norodom Sihanouk - Situated on the popular Park Strip of Phnom Penh, this statue was erected in 2013 to honor King Norodom Sihanouk after his passing.
  • Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Monument - Next, we visit the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Monument, which commemorates the former alliance between the two nations.
  • Royal Palace - Nearby is the Royal Palace, where you can explore the stunning architecture and take advantage of the excellent photo opportunities. Note that there is no audio guide available.
  • National Museum of Cambodia - Admire the National Museum, one of the finest examples of Cambodian architecture. This building also offers great photo opportunities. Outside visit only: Free
  • Wat Ounalom - Originally built in 1442, Wat Ounalom is one of the most significant temples in Phnom Penh. Entry is free.
  • Wat Phnom - Wat Phnom is another important temple in Phnom Penh. Perched on a hill and featuring an intriguing clock garden, learn about the origins of Phnom Penh before ascending the steps to the temple.

Phnom Penh City Tour and Killing fields/S21 - Visal was so lovely and a brilliant tour guide. He arrived on time, was friendly to us and our two young children. He explained everything to us and even gave us a choice of how we do the tour. He provided us constantly with drinks whenever we wanted. He is passionate about informing us of the history of Cambodia and stopped in places outside of agreed tour like the swings for our children and street art. I would highly recommend his tour as he can personalise it. Thank you Visal.
