Must Do!!!! Amazing.. - Amazing, authentic experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our cooking experience in a village home. The family was so welcoming. We were shown around the markets to select the ingredients for our chicken amok. Each of the steps were explained and we participated in making the meal. Wonderful cooking experience, not to be missed - We had a truly wonderful time with Sophors and her fabulous family. We crossed on the ferry and met her nephew Sophan and then met Sophors and visited the market to buy ingredients for the delicious Amok that we were going to make. We went to her lemon grass field to harvest the lemon grass. We chopped and chatted, found out all about the dishes we were making and lots of information about Cambodia 🇰🇭 We prepared vegetables and fish and chicken amok, followed by bananas in palm sugar. Sophors is a truly amazing person and we feel privileged to have met her. She welcomed us into her beautiful home and garden. Thank you for one of the most memorable days of our 6 week trip. Amazing day - Shopping at the market + cooking + homely coziness with a fantastic family. Lovely food and warmth. One of the highlights of our trip.

Amazing experience and the most warm-hearted family - We were 2 pairs of friends. Was picked up/met at the ferry by the sweet Sopho (nephew) of the hostess. We were at the market and shopping with Sophos. Afterwards we went to her very well-furnished and clean Homestay, where we met the whole family. Sisters, children, sister-in-law and brother-in-law. Everyone was so sweet and warm-hearted, we got such a good story about culture, cooking and enjoyed ourselves cooking the dish Amok with great guidance. We all ate at the table together (our wish and we insisted) we also had dessert. Bananas fried in palm sugar and coconut. Everything was so delicious. Nice toilet facilities - one for men and one for women. Bathing conditions also looked fine if you wanted to stay in a homestay. Sophos is a very strong and independent woman. Also very eloquent in English. Most of the family also spoke a little English. Even the little daughter Khanja aged 4. We were followed to the ferry again and we were even driven to our hotel by the nephew - of course for a little extra payment. All in all such a fantastic experience and we recommend everyone to visit here. The price is more than reasonable compared to the experience.

An authentic cooking class ( and so much more) in fabulous surroundings! - What a time we had with Sophors and her lovely family! A fabulous opportunity to spend some time out of the chaos of Phnom Penh, learning how to prepare wonderful Cambodian food in an authentic environment. We crossed the river by ferry and were met by Sophan in his tuk tuk and by Sophors. We visited the local market to buy fresh fruit, vegetables, spices, chicken and fish. We then stopped to pick fresh banana leaves to cook the Amok in. Next we visited the family’s small holding to pick fresh lemon grass. We travelled to the beautiful family home with a fabulous garden, dining area and open, very well equipped kitchen. We chopped, ground, chatted and learned lots! We prepared a delicious meal with Amok, stir fried lotus stems and a dessert of banana, coconut and palm sugar. We sat around the table and enjoyed the food and hospitality- we would love to have stayed over in the home stay, which looked very inviting. We returned to Phnom Penh by tuk tuk and ferry. One of our favourite days of our 6 week trip! Thank you lovely Sophors x

Great experience with great food! - This was such a great experience! I did both the cooking class and the homestay, and I would recommend both. Getting there involved taking a ferry over the Mekong, which was easy to do and an experience in itself! Sophors and her family were so friendly and welcoming, plus the dishes we made were all delicious! Would absolutely recommend.

Perfect cooking class, unique and incredible experience - Best cooking class ever. Everithing was perfect. If it was possible giving 10 stars we would. Sophors and her family are incredibily kind and welcoming. She is an excellent chef and teacher, we lived the best night in Cambodia of our travel. We will never forget the time spent with Sophors and her family. If you come to Phnom Penh, you must attend this fantastic cooking class.

Brilliant Experience - I had a great afternoon cooking with Sophors and afterwards ate dinner with the family. Very friendly and lovely people, it was great to experience real Cambodian cookery!

Excellent and unique cooking class - Sopphors is a very friendly, energetic, and excellent cooking teacher. I greatly enjoyed her class and meeting her family. A great time and I highly recommend signing up for this experience outside of the city center.

Great experience - What an amazing hostess. She is warm and funny and a great tour guide. We bought our ingredients fresh on the Market. Her home is lovely and well-maintained and even sports a Jacuzzi!. Beautiful open plan outdoor kitchen and everyone was soon chopping ingredients and grinding spices in an old mill. Amongst the laughter and good conversation, we made a chicken Amok. Well worth it and highly recommend it
