At the back of the temple there is a great lookout, perfect for taking photos of the vast view of the surrounding rice fields and countryside.

  • Ta Prohm Temple - Tonle Bati: Tonle Bati is a lake with an ancient temple, situated about an hour from Chisor Mountain. It is a popular area for people to fish, relax and picnic while exploring the ancient temples in the vicinity.

Ta Prohm: The temples in this area were predominantly built by Angkors famous King Jayavarman VII who ruled from 1181 - 1201. Ta Prohm, not to be confused with Ta Prohm in Siem Reap, is no exception. The site has been a Hindu place of worship since the 6th century.

Fantastic experience with Vanna! - We did the 3 hour evening tour of Phnom Penh by tuktuk. There was four of us in a comfortable tuktuk and it was a brilliant tour exploring this lovely city at night. We had Vanna as our guide and he was very friendly, informative and funny. He took us to a lot of places that were specified on the itinerary such as the Palace, Riverside, Independent monument, couple of other statues, and Wat Phnom temple. Plus he also took us to the island area and showed us the new developments and the new bridge. Very pretty views over the river and lights from down there. He is very flexible in what you wish to see. He also drove us around the upmarket area and embassy areas. He provided good commentry along the way pointing out landmarks. We saw a lot of the city in several hours and made a few stops for photos too!. At the end of the tour he offered to take us to a recommended restaurant but we were tired and opted for take away from a street vendor. He took us to a great food stand that had yummy fried rice, soups and fried noodles. And shouted us each a beer! We took the food back to our hotel where he dropped us off. Tour went for 3 hours. We all really enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend it!

Recommended - Really good day and nice to see a little if the countryside around Phnom Penh. Loved seeing the animals at the wildlife sanctuary - the animals looked healthy and happy and although conditions not always perfect, it is a great effort by a country with limited resources. Hopefully work if the wildlife alliance will be able to further develop as more visitors return post Covid. Also really enjoyed the mountain top temple and learning a little about Buddhism and history in Cambodia Not too long a day which was good but felt saw and learned a lot

Fun adventure with Sophoarn - My husband and I went for a tour with Sophoarn and it was great! He was a lovely guide, telling us about the history and legends of places we were seeing and he even showed us a Cambodian movie about a legend he told. We had such a fun day and stopped for some noodles and some fried crickets on the way home.
