Fabulous instructor and delicious food at The Banana Cooking School - Great fun and learnt how to cook my favourite Fish Amok, plus rice paper rolls and banana caramel. Chef Lom Ang from the Banana Cooking School is an excellent teacher. We shopped in the local market, which is always very colourful and full of interesting smells ( some not so good). Then back at Le Rose to cook. I was lucky enough to have the morning session all to myself. Thanks Lom Ang and your team at the Banana Cooking School.

Amazing - It was amazing. The chef and all the other staff were so lovely. The chef took us to a local market to collect our ingredients which was cool to see. Not too busy in the afternoon. She then showed us how to make the food and then we did. It all tasted amazing (even as a picky eater). We could choose what we wanted in our food and what we didn’t. Overall a 10/10 experience I would definitely recommend this. The staff were amazing, we had a great group of 6 of us. A fantastic time

Great cooking class - highly recommended! - Intimate atmosphere with just 3 students. We first bought all the ingredients in the local market and then prepared and cooked our lunch - vegetarian spring rolls followed by Khmer Yellow Curry and finished with Banana Palm dessert - delicious! Our teacher, Chef Pearl Lom Ang was excellent!

Home Cooking Phnom Penh Style - An amazing experience, we were firstly taken to the local market, an experience in itself and reminiscent of our childhood where food markets featured heavily in the day to day of food purchasing and we were met with aisles and aisles of fresh vegetables, fruit, meat and fish. The chef haggled for the best price of the ingredients she wanted to buy and then we returned from the market to the kitchens at La Rose Suite Phnom Penh, where we both had our own cooking utensils, hot plate and ingredients set out and under the watchful eye of the chef prepared all the food for the Fresh Spring Rolls with and sweet/spicy dip, Yellow Khmer Curry and boiled rice and finally dessert of Banana Palm and a sweet caramel sauce. Each dish tasted delicious and we were then given a certificate and the recipes which we will definitely be trying at home. A wonderful experince not to be missed by travellers.

Loved this whole Experience - I was the only person in the class just by chance. It was a great class. Went to the market which is an excursion all of its own, by Tuk Tuk. Cooked an amazing meal across from the Chef and learnt so many things. Can't wait to cook them at home. Chef was knowledgeable and friendly. The meal was delicious. Don't hesitate, this is a really good class..

Banana cooker class - excellent afternoon - Lom Ang was our chef , took us to the market with a shopping list- to and fro in a tuktuk. Then washed our hands, had welcome drinks , donned our aprons and chefs hats We prepped the veg , watched her demo then worked at our own stations to cook our own spring rolls , yellow curry and banana palm. She was good fun and an excellent teacher - would definitely recommend
