The tour continues through the verdant countryside, passing by diverse plantations such as mango, banana, corn, and lemongrass farms. After a refreshing pause in a village, the group boards a Tuk Tuk (Romork) to observe the detailed craft of sedge mat weaving, a traditional skill practiced by villagers along the Mekong River.

The adventure proceeds with visits to tranquil paddy fields and scenic lotus farms before reaching a silk weaving workshop, where the artistry and dedication involved in this timeless craft can be admired. This journey beautifully combines culture, nature, and genuine local experiences!

• Mekong Island - Koh Dach - Following a refreshing break and meaningful interactions with local artisans at the silk weaving workshop, the Tuk Tuk adventure continues to Silk Island. Here, participants can explore lush ginger and vegetable farms and visit a local enterprise where bean curd, a key ingredient in Cambodian cuisine such as soups and stir-fried noodles, is made.

As the tour traverses the island, there is a stop at a peaceful Buddha monastery to explore the rich spiritual traditions and learn more about Cambodian religion. To round off the experience, enjoy a delightful lunch or dinner at a local restaurant, savoring authentic flavors. Finally, a scenic ferry ride returns participants to their hotel in Phnom Penh, leaving them with unforgettable memories of this unique cultural journey.

We explore the local villages on Mekong Island, learning about their lifestyle and the silk weaving that serves as their primary occupation after farming or fishing.

During this Tuk Tuk tour, we also visit the local market, several local businesses that produce bean curd for sale, and farmland where farmers grow ginger, cucumbers, eggplants, lemongrass, corn, bananas, papayas, and mangoes.

In the final part of the tour, we visit a silk weaving workshop to learn about the craft before heading to a Buddha temple to gain insight into Cambodian religion. We then enjoy a local lunch at a floating restaurant with river views and relax in a hammock before returning to Phnom Penh.
