Beautiful cruise, bouddhist center and oudong temple - We had a great day!
From the boat trip to the tuktuk, it was all great.
Our guide was very informative and happy to share his knowledge and experience with us.
Careful though, the tour is not for you if you don't like climbing steps :')
The climb up the oudong mountain is worth it though!

From river to mountain - The day started leisurely with a peaceful cruise up the Tonle Sap River with refreshing fruits to snack on. Then we paid a a visit to the silver village (also copper & brass products) where we were able to get in some retail therapy. This was followed by a visit to a Buddhist temple and finally ended with an amazing view - 591 steps up to the temple of 1000 Buddhas. There were also some delightful children along the way who happily carried our shoes for us!

Udong is always worth a visit - I have done this tour three times already. It is always wonderful to travel along the river. The subsequent visits are always informative. The tour guide is very good. The climb is worth it every time. The view is magnificent.

Stunning ! - An truly amazing trip!
For the whole day we came across no other tourists which was such a massive plus and for those in Cambodia who did not visit Oudongk it’s absolutely their miss!
We started off with a cruise up the river past the floating villages with various sights as we moved up the river towards Oudongk.
Our boat moored off the bank and our guide (who was absolutely brilliant) then took us up by tuk tuk to a silver village and from their to the Buddhist temples below Oudongk. We met the monks and the nuns, we were able to fully explore all the temples and the living accommodation for the monks and nuns who were so friendly and curious about ourselves. The nuns in particular.
From there we went up the mountain, down to a street market and then had a lovely late lunch before heading back to our boat and down the river.
This tour was the best of our entire three week trip. The guide was knowledgeable and incredibly accommodating to allow us to explore all the areas we wanted to. It felt very authentic to the area and felt like we really were experiencing a part of Cambodia that very few people have the privilege in experiencing.
But thank you to our guide for a truly memorable experience!

Think twice before you book with TripAdvisor - The tour was wonderful - excellent guide and a wonderful trip. However, I am disgusted with what Tripadvisor did to us. We booed a private tour for $300 US and paid, a week before the trip. The day before the trip LESS THAN 24 HOURS, so no cancellation possible we were advised by Viatour that we were being refunded $ 80 (still not received) as another couple were joining us - no private tour, now charged the regular price. I complained to Viatour and was told the tour company had asked for the additional coupe THIS WAS A LIE AS THE OTHER COUPLE TOLD US THEY HAD BOOKED ON TRIPADVISOR. AS far as I m concerned this is your responsibility and you should take ownership for it.

What Amazing scenery! - This was a Great way to spend the day.
The guide was super and spoke Great English. The boat ride was very relaxing and enjoyable followed by a walk through a local island silver village, then onto the largest temple in Cambodia which was beautiful. The scenery from the top of the mountain was amazing, Great for photos which the guide continuously offered to take.
I would highly recommend this tour.

Brilliant day! - This trip was great from start to finish! Collected from my hotel by tuk tuk on time and driven to the boat launch. Had a leisurely ride up the Tonle sap river where I got to know the three others on my trip. Our guide and owner of the business, Davuth spoke fantastic English and answered all of our questions. He provided so much information and made sure everyone had as much fruit and beverages as they wanted.
We went past the stilted and houseboat villages and saw some amazing sights…a real mix of the old and new. We stopped at Koh Chen and checked out the local village silver smiths. The make some beautiful stuff and will negotiate fairly if you want to make a purchase. We then went to Oudong and climbed the hill to see all the stupas of previous rulers. Stunning! We also walked around a local Buddhist centre and heard very interesting stories about and from some of the nuns there. Then we had another nice boat ride home, complete with cold beers and lots of chatting about the day.
It was a really great way to spend a day out in nature with a top notch tour guide who obviously wants to ensure his customers have a good experience. I would definitely recommend this tour! Thank you Davuth :)

Great relaxing & educational tour - We had an excellent time starting from the hotel pick up to arriving back at the hotel in the evening. We were lucky in having a small tour group however there is plenty Of comfortable seating on the boat. Our guide gave a knowledgeable running commentary during the cruise to Oudon. Tut-Tut ride then a great time exploring the temple, again with knowledgeable commentary from our guide. Stop for a nice lunch then back to the boat. Relaxing cruise back to Phnom Penh helped by a couple of complementary drinks. Fantastic full day tour

Fantastic tour - Collected on time from our hotel, only 3 of us total on the tour which made it very personal.
Tour guide was knowledgeable about life on the river and drivers were friendly and river cruise was relaxing with unlimited drinks and lovely platter of fruit.
Saw pagodas, beautiful Buddha statues, Monks and Nuns and then walked up the 3 levels of the Oudong mountain to see the different pagodas (lots of steps so comfortable shoes required) and a few monkeys on the way down.
We saw the large food market which was in most very enjoyable but be warned they occasionally cook the fish alive which I did not enjoy seeing.
Lunch was delicious and plentiful and the cruise back relaxing. Highly recommend this tour x
