The first stop is the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, also known as S21, which stands for Security 21.

• Choeung Ek Genocidal Center - The Killing Fields of Choeung Ek are located about a 45-minute drive from the Tuol Sleng Prison. Between 1975 and 1979, approximately 17,000 men, women, children, and infants (including nine Westerners) were detained and tortured at S-21 prison (now Tuol Sleng Museum) before being transported to Choeung Ek for execution to save bullets. The tour lasts 90 minutes.
