Insight into the sad events of the genocide. - Excellent guided tour with a very well informed tour guide Baboon. He was very detailed and shared his personal family connection to the genocide. I would highly recommend doing this tour when in Phnom Penh. It can be overwhelming for some people though. The horrors are of Cambodia's relatively recent history are truly harrowing.

Wonderful yet confronting - Baboon, my tour guide, created a wonderfully informative, comprehensive and sensitive tour of these confronting places representing awful history of the Khmer Rouge regime. I highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn about this history in a respectful yet informative way.

Worth a visit - Choeung Ek We found that the killing fields were very insightful and interesting to learn about the the tragic history. This is definitely worth a visit alongside the Tuol Sleng Prison Museum. Tuol Sleng Prison Museum This part of our tour of the killing fields and Genoside museum was exceptionally difficult with photos of the prisoners and some of the torture the endured. We were lucky enough to meet Chum Mey, one of the 7 prisoner survivors to hear his experience as he shared his traumatic story. I think a visit to here and the killing fields is required if you are in Phnom Penh.

Must do - Very interesting morning spent at the S21 prison & Killing Fields in Phnom Penh. Our guide Visal brought us on our tour he was very knowledgeable and gave us an excellent insight into the dark history of the Cambodian genocide only 45 years ago.

Grim but educational - It was an eye-opening and educational tour. Our guide, Mr Baboon, was very kind and friendly and did his best to explain the history and events of the genocide. We learned a lot on this tour.

A beautiful experience - A very instructive ride on a little-known topic. I was able to learn a lot about Cambodia's recent history and the atrocities committed since 1975 by Polpot. Although this is not a fun trip, it is definitely a trip that everyone should take. We visited the site with the virtual guide. Excellent content

If you only have time to do two tours in Cambodia, do this one twice. Made all the more wonderful by our guide Visal - This is an essential tour for anybody and everybody. It is difficult at times, and it can be distressing, but it is absolutely essential for people to understand the dark side of humanity, and when we fail to act to improve the world. Our guide Visal, was wonderful - not only was he very knowledgeable about the subject matter, and everything, he made it. Interesting, he made it human, and it was very clear to see how deeply he cares about ensuring that this dark time is never forgotten. You can’t help, but feel both despair and hope for humanity in equal measure when we are confronted both by the evil and depravity that exists , but also by survival and hope, and a future.

Haunting and humbling - What a haunting and humbling experience this has been. To think that it only occurred 50 years ago. Excellent processing of the past horrors by the Cambodian people. Our wonderful and very knowledgeable guide Visal did an excellent job by bringing this part of Cambodian history to life, never to be forgotten.
