More than accommodating! - Very nice tour out of the city to Silk Island. I travelled solo so I wasn’t able to take the cruise over but Chamka Sne Cruise Tours still accommodated me with pick up and drop off tuktuk service. They were very accommodating which was very nice. Silk Island was definitely worth the visit and it was nice to spend the morning learning about silk and textile production. After the tour of Silk Island my driver took me around the island a little bit so I could take some photos. Because I had already been to the Golden Temple, my driver took me to see the Vietnam Friendship memorial. Great experience and I would highly recommend booking with Chamka Sne Cruise!

Silk Island - Most memorable: Tuk Tuk ride and guide on silk island. Interesting learning about the process of making silk thread and seeing how it gets turned into beautiful scarves.

Very enjoyable trip - Lots to see and learn on the trip. Our guide, Kim, was very knowledgable and personal. Make sure you know the name of the boat as there are many at the river. There was a gang plank to get off and on the boat on the island.

Fascinating experience - We had a really interesting morning, learning about the whole process of silk making from end-to-end. There were only four people on our tour, which was a nice number. Our tour guide spoke excellent English and made sure we understood everything she was explaining. It was fabulous to see the ladies at work on the looms too. We had a little wander around the village, although the description of the tour sounds like it’s a bit more than it is.

Tradition Maintained. - Twas a lovely cruise down first the Sap then Mekong River to the Island where tradition is maintained. Whilst the tour was basic the guide was very informative of both the history of the island and the silk farming. It was actually heartening to hear that traditions of centuries are being maintained and that (I think) they are profitable to the people who perform them. Have only given 4 stars because the seating on the boat ride was a little uncomfortable. Would highly recommend this as an experience and escape from the hustle of Phnom Penh.

Could do better, but interesting. - Silk-making process is interesting and guide was knowledgeable. Boat location was hard to find, with no welcome or information onboard. Silk products are much cheaper in the central market.
