Best Zoo to visit - Best Zoo I have ever visited. Morning temps were perfect for animal activity. It will take longer than 2 to 3 hours to really see everything. Well worth the money once you realize the quality of the exhibits and grounds.

Family day at the zoo - Perfect day for a family trip to the zoo. Easy breezy digital scan for entry. Saw lots of active animals. Tigers, orangutans, monkeys, giraffes, and reptiles. It was grand babies 1st trip to see animals. At 6 months she was easily able to catch site of a few.

Information - A very walkable ZOO. NO Senior discounts on tickets. Somewhat expensive entrance fee. Clean facility. NO MAPS OF THE TRAILS ARE PROVIDED. A Zoo worker suggested we take the 25-minute trolly ride to set a plan for areas you wanted to visit. However, the trolley ride was an extra charge beside the entrance fee. We walked the entire zoo in 2 1/2 hours at a rather leisurely pace. Naturally the food and snacks are expensive.

Fun in Phoenix - A very nice zoo! We really enjoyed all the animals. Lots of friendly staff around to answer questions and help you find your way around. Overall we had a great time. My only complaint is that there are several activities (feeding the giraffes, petting sting rays, a carousel, camel rides, among others) which are an additional fee. And they're expensive! I think a ticket should get you access to everything the zoo has to offer. My toddler was disappointed we couldn't feed the giraffes, but it would have been $9 per person which is too much in my opinion. Having to pay for all the additional activities would very quickly add up to be even more expensive than the main entry ticket.

No giraffes or elephants... - No giraffes or elephants were present. Heard from someone else that the zoo no longer had elephants. We did enjoy the little monkeys in their habitat

Where are the animals? - Very disappointed. Always enjoyed the zoo when the kids were kids, returned today after twenty years. The elephants appear permanently gone, a couple rhinos left in the huge activity area. Most of the displays had a single sleeping animal in them. Plentiful flamingos and Giraffes. Big meerkat area with two critters. No chimps, orangs, gorillas. $36 each to get in and eat a $14 hotdog. Sad, appearance of closing down.
