This intimate photographic journey takes you to the far-flung tribes of the Omo Valley, offering an opportunity to engage with some of Africa’s last remaining authentic ethnic groups. The journey leads you to the eastern segment of the Omo River where you’ll encounter the Konso, Hamer, Kara, and Nyangatom tribes. Expect to spend several days living within their communities, learning about their way of life, participating in ceremonies and rituals, and capturing moments through your lens. There’ll be plenty of opportunities during different lighting conditions to photograph their daily routines, cattle herding practices, farming, body and face paint customs, and more. Isolated for thousands of years due to its remote location, the Omo Valley represents a unique and rarely-documented photographic paradise for anthropologists and photographers alike.
