- The Grand Palace - Situated in the center of Bangkok, the Grand Palace served as the royal residence from King Rama I to King Rama V of the Rattanakosin Kingdom. Currently, it is used for royal ceremonies and to welcome the king’s guests, state visitors, and other foreign dignitaries. Visitors can explore key attractions such as the Coronation Throne Hall, Royal Reception Hall, Royal Funeral Hall, the Golden Chedi, and the Royal Pantheon. Within the Grand Palace grounds is Wat Phra Kaew, also known as the ‘Temple of the Emerald Buddha’ or locally as ‘Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram,’ one of Thailand’s most significant Buddhist temples. It houses Phra Kaew Morakot (the Emerald Buddha), a highly revered Buddha image intricately carved from a single jade block.
PLEASE NOTE:
The entrance fee of THB 500 per person is not included and must be paid in cash on the day of the tour.
Total time includes travel time from the meeting point.
- Baan Silapin - A visit to Baan Silapin (The Artist’s House) is included, located on the banks of Klong Bang Luang (Bang Luang Canal) on the Thonburi side of the Chao Phraya River. This hidden gem is dedicated to preserving Thai culture, offering a glimpse into Bangkok’s past before urbanization. The over 200-year-old wooden house, lovingly restored by its owner, is at the center of a small community of rustic shophouses connected by a wooden walkway along the canal’s edge.
PLEASE NOTE:
Total time includes travel from the Grand Palace to the pier and time on the water.
Actual time at Baan Silapin is approximately 30 minutes.
- Wat Pak Nam - The tour passes by Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen (without disembarking), constructed during the mid-Ayutthaya period in the Phasi Charoen District of Thonburi. The boat will pause to allow for a clear photo of the enormous Buddha statue at this temple. The statue stands nearly 70 meters tall, equivalent to a 20-story building, and is Bangkok’s tallest Buddha, with a width of 40 meters in its cross-legged meditation pose.

There’s no better place to begin your Bangkok journey than the city’s most renowned landmark: the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha). The grandiosity of its architecture makes it a must-visit for anyone traveling to the City of Angels.
Embarking on a long-tail boat canal trip, which lasts roughly 2 hours, offers the opportunity to explore a lesser-known side of Bangkok, far from the hustle and bustle of popular tourist spots. Discover an untouched piece of Bangkok, and experience the city as it was half a century ago!
- Remember that the Grand Palace & Wat Phra Kaew are sacred places and you must dress appropriately. Shoulders and ankles need to be covered (for both men and women; sleeveless shirt with a scarf covering is also not allowed). No shorts, leggings, ripped jeans, slippers (flip-flops), or revealing tops, otherwise you won’t be allowed in.
- Not recommended for travelers with mobility issues since it might be too hard to get in and out the boat (there are no stairs at the piers).
