DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY - A waste of money! The guide (“Farida”) was utterly incompetent and should never have been assigned this tour. We learned from her at the end of the tour that she was just a “freelance” guide and she has not done Segway tours by herself before. Why would Viator ever use people without vetting their competence? It gets worse. We booked a 3:30 adventure. I got a text saying it was changed to 4:30 at about 2:00. I complained and I got another text saying the guide would meet us at 3:30, but we were sent to the wrong location!!. At the last minute, the guide called and told me where to meet her. She also said she would indeed be late. We got there after another 15 minute taxi from the original, incorrect, meeting point. The guide had no idea how to drive a Segway. We had to turn them on ourselves and luckily, all three of us were familiar with Segway use. Once she figured out how to ride one, she went so slowly that we could have walked the whole trip faster. She crashed once and pushed her Segway instead of riding it when the terrain was narrow. I don’t think she had ever ridden a Segway. We got no instructions. No warnings about tight spots, She led us into street traffic going the wrong way - against the traffic! and fortunately, the traffic stopped for us. The “guide” would talk while riding the Segway as if she was giving the tour information about the Ayutthaya Historical site, but we could not hear a word she said while riding. And, It would not have helped if we could have heard her because she barely spoke English. What she said once we stopped was not comprehendible and not at all informative. One official sign at one stop on the tour provided us as much information as she tried to express in 2 hours. At one point, she disappeared - we waited for about 10 minutes and then we headed back to the starting point t without her. About a block away, we saw her following us, so we stopped to wait for her to catch up. Worst Viator tour ever! This tour was a total rip off!! We want our money back.
