⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars for Phu Quoc Food Tours! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars for Phu Quoc Food Tours! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently joined Phu Quoc Food Tours with my husband, and it was such a great experience. If you're in Phu Quoc, I highly recommend it. We started with a cooking class overlooking the ocean at sunset. We visited around four authentic Vietnamese spots, each with some wonderful and delicious food. Don't panic if you're fussy, there is something for everyone. Our local Phu Quoc guide – Sky - was really knowledgeable and had a great storytelling style. She made the tour more than just about food, and made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed. A huge highlight was trying our hand at cooking a traditional Vietnamese dish with Sky's guidance (no spoilers on what the dish was!). I recommend anyone on Phu Quoc to take the tour to get a true taste of the island. Amazing!

Great Food Tour - First time in Vietnam and Phu Quoc is booked a walking tour to sample the culinary delights. Trinh was our magnificent guide. Not to be missed. We had four "main" dishes including traditional Hanoi food and we're so full we shared the last dish of noodles made and cooked to order! Had a great time, learned a lot from Trinh. Highly recommend!

Do this first! - We booked the food tour with the hope that it would orient us with the city and help us navigate the local cuisine. With Mario as our guide this tour over delivered on both. Mario took us to a plethora of different food places and showed us how the locals eat. He was also an invaluable resource on what to see and do while visiting. I would wholeheartedly recommend the food tour as your first stop in Phu Quoc.

Yummy! - Visited Phu Quoc with my friends and found the Phu Quoc food tour. It was such a good experience. We got to see all the local establishments. The food was really tasty and unique. Overall we loved the vietnamese beef stew it was to die for. Our guide; Mario was super friendly and energetic, thanks so much to the team at PQFT

Amazing food tour - I had an incredible experience as a solo traveller on a food tour with Trinh in Duong Dong, Phu Quoc. We tasted 4 dishes together and then 2 different traditional desserts. Including a spicy beef stew that was to die for! Trinh, my guide, spoke perfect English and was extremely friendly :) I would recommend this tour to friend and solo travellers alike. Wonderful experience!

Awesome food experience in Phu Quoc - What an adventure! A really immersive evening out in Phu Quoc with my ‘eat anything’ daughter. The food was delicious and quite surprising as we ate like a local for the evening and we all thoroughly enjoyed it despite our different dietary approaches. The girls, our drivers, were great fun and really shared their love of their city and their country - we all felt we had made a friend in Vietnam. Nguyen, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable, with a quirky sense of humour. Surprisingly 😍

Unique local experience - We tasted dishes that we would not have experienced otherwise and they were wonderful. Tranh was a charming hostess on our tour for two. Clearly, we were a novelty for the local patrons in the places we visited. Without exception, every place had a signature dish common for the patrons but explosive in new flavors for us. The stewed beef (Vietnamese beef bourguignon) was exceptional and the cook’s secret or we’d be trying to cook it at home, :-)

Bad organised, very overpriced - Very bad organised. Very overpriced. Only 15 min. before arriving at the meeting point we were informed to take an new taxi to another meeting point. The first meeting point was a nice beach club were we should start with our food tour and our first meal. Instead of this we we send to a local very cheap restaurant eating our first soup, herbs, tofu and pork. The guide told us this was his second time he was tour guide. The second place we went we ate our second portion of soup and some rolls, the third place we visited again soup. Two of the three dishes were originally from Hà Nội. The “tour” was closed by eating/drinking a kind of ice coffee and a cup with a drink made of the jackfruit. We spend over $50 for something wich would cost less than $10. We expected some more in tasting not the normal “every-corner” street food for this amount of money.

No Call No Show - My friend and I waited at the meet up point for over an hour without anyone from the tour company showing up. We attempted to call their contact number, but it seems that number is out of service. Since then, I have been attempting to contact them for a refund without any luck. I understand that there may be a mix up on their end due to Tet, but not contacting customers who have paid and confirmed their tour is not acceptable. Needless to say, I do not recommend this tour.
