Highlight of Phu Quoc - The tour was the highlight of Phu Quoc. The head was extremely motivated. I had a short heat stroke. He had a pack of minerals ready for it after I was back in top shape. You have to be relatively fit, but it's worth it!

Island views, wildlife and waterfalls. - Excellent trip scrambling up a hill through beautiful shaded rainforest with two excellent guides Si and Hack. Their knowledge and respect of the environment and cultural was fabulous. We learnt about vipers and the Phu Quoc ridgeback dogs. Views were wonderful. Swimming in the waterfall after the hike was lovely. Yummy lunch included too. I felt very safe and cared for.

Best guides in Phu Quoc! - The trekking with Si and Hạc was top notch!
They gave explanations of so many species both of flora and fauna & we even visited a temple in a cave. 😍
Their English is really good and they took good care of all of us.
The top views are worth the hike!
I really recommend booking with them.

Hike up Tien Son Dinh Phu - Fabulous trip. The guides were exceptional. They took great care of the participants. They had wonderful knowledge of the environment, local culture and clearly loved their jobs. They took along a very sweet local Phu Quoc ridgeback dog (asking first if participants were happy to have dog join us). I loved learning about the sweet local dog. Swinging in the hammocks was a delight. It was shady for the walk up the hill. Waterfall was beautiful. You need to walk through a park with numerous statues. Lunch was lovely. I highly recommend this walk. Big thanks to Si and Hack for sharing this gorgeous place with us.

Great Guide! - Si is a really great tour guide who knows a lot and cares a lot about the forest and its animals! This is a unique experience - but you definetly have to wear good trekking shoes because this tour is not an easy walk

Super fun jungle adventure with Si! - What an amazing adventure with our guide Si! On the way up the hike was steep and it was really hot out, but my 63 year old mom and I made it, and the view was worth it! We got to lay in hammocks and take in the view while trying fresh local fruit that Si picked up for us on the way there. On the way down it was absolutely pouring rain, but Si kept us laughing despite the torrential downpour. Si taught us about all the flora and fauna on the mountain and we got to see a green pit viper, which was awesome! After the hike, his friend made us delicious Banh Xio. The last stop was the waterfall, and it was a nice, relaxing place to end the trip.
If you’re looking for a memorable andventure and are open to exercise, I HIGHLY reccomend this trip. The mountain hike is pretty steep in places and you have to climb a few ladders, but the view, the food and the guide Si makes it all worth it! It’s a super authentic way to spend a day learning about the natural beauty of Phu Quoc and the jungles of Vietnam. Si will keep you laughing with his silly jokes and take lots of great pictures for you. This was my Mom and I’s favorite activity out of our entire trip. If you’re looking for something different and off the beaten path, this is for you!!
Thanks for an awesome day Si! Mini-mum and I had a great time with you!! 😊

Too expensive for the experience - This is probably the only hiking spot in Phu Quoc and one of the few places in Vietnam where you can find a somewhat decent hiking trail. Its a really good spot and has a significance for the locals however I feel its best to be done by yourself considering how expensive this is for basically just a guided walk. My tour guide was the young guy Hac and he was super nice and friendly but don’t think it justifies the AUD 170 for this experience. Best to be done by yourself or if the tour company can lower the cost to $80-90 then maybe it’s worth considering.
Also, it’s a proper hike which means you definitely need hiking shoes and fitness to be able to enjoy this on a hot day.

Consider the cost and doing it Solo instead - This is probably one of the only hiking trails in Phu Quoc and would definitely recommend doing this whenever you get a chance however if you’re a solo traveler, consider doing the tour by yourself as my experience of this tour wasn’t worth the price.
The tour involves meeting the guide at your hotel and the welcome drink / coffee followed by the hike to the peak then a local lunch and walk to the nearby park to experience the waterfall. Quite an amazing place however in my experience i wasn’t sure what to expect and the guide Hac seemed too confused and kept asking me about how long do I have for the trip.
All these places are easily accessible if you go by yourself and in terms of getting to know the history and traditions of the place do talk to the family who runs the cafe.
I also found the tour operator Si quite difficult to communicate to and had to reach out myself to confirm the tour timings, overall quite unprofessional from his side.
Enjoy this beautiful place but definitely do this by yourself if you can.

Not worth the price - P.S: after my review the Si, tour operator reached out to me and instead of acknowledging and apologising for the experience, told me that they would stick with what they do.
While Hac (tour guide) was a nice guy, the tour lacked that premium experience altogether. I had to reach out to Si, tour operator regarding the pick up and drop off timings. I got picked on a bike and had to travel all the way in the heat. Then on various occasions I kept asking what usually is included in this tour but the response i got was ‘it depends on you’ which is why i felt that i was better off doing this tour alone i.e., getting myself a grab, going up the mountain, having food nearby and going back home.
Not sure if anything would improve but I hope they will consider improving the overall experience to justify the premium price or simply reduce the price to match the experience.
Cheers
