Racha and Coral Island Tour - Overall we had a great day with team Wa Wa as the head tour guide asked us to call him. The whole crew were very friendly and kept us laughing throughout the day. One downside was the amount of time spent in the day getting from place to place. The catermaran is slow and unless you really enjoy sailing and being on the water, it gets a bit old quickly. Racha island has two sides. You arrive on the side with a tiny little beach. They then offer you a taxi ride across to the main beach which is an added cost. The ‘taxi’ is a tractor with a trailer fitted with bench seats. It’s a very slow and bumpy ride across to the main beach. The white sand and azure water in front of Racha resort is worth it the ride, however by the time we got there we only had enough time to stay for 45 minutes. Once back aboard the boat we were offered time to snorkel before lunch. We were then back on the boat for another hour or so to Coral Island. We wished the whole day was at Coral Island. It is much bigger and a lot more to do with water sports on offer, eateries and bars. We had about 1 hour and 30 mins here. All in all a good day, good value for money, just different to what we expected. Not really a snorkelling tour but a good day for those who like to be on the water and on or around the beach.
