Setting Sail on a New Adventure

After leaving my finance job in Seoul to backpack through Southeast Asia, I’ve been on a quest to find the most budget-friendly yet unforgettable experiences. The tour continued with visits to Maya Bay, Loh Samah Bay, and Pi Leh Lagoon. Each location was more breathtaking than the last, with towering limestone cliffs and vibrant coral reefs. Maya Bay, famous for its role in “The Beach,” was a particular highlight, even though it was only open for pictures and sightseeing. The guides were attentive throughout, ensuring everyone was comfortable and well-informed about each stop.

One of the most memorable moments was at Monkey Beach, where we had the chance to see wild monkeys in their natural habitat. The guides were careful to ensure we respected the animals’ space, a reminder of the importance of responsible tourism.

As the day came to an end, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the experience.
