The perfect way to see the coast - Highlight of the trip. We rented a Vespa from Positano and my husband drove us up and down the Amalfi coast. It was perfect for visiting Ravello and the Fiordo di Furore swimming spot. Driving the coast is not for the faint of heart though as traffic is tricky and roads are narrow with big busses at every turn. My husband has driven all over the world and used to own a scooter so we felt comfortable but had to be vigilant. I confirmed our pick up time the day before and the attendant told us the time was wrong but offered to let us pick up the scooter the night before. We arranged a time but when we arrived the shop was closed! Luckily a different attendant was still there, but he was annoyed because he didn’t expect us and had already turned off all of the equipment. Luckily we had paid online otherwise it wouldn’t have worked. He was helpful and friendly otherwise in showing us how the Vespa worked and wished us well. I’d recommend reaching out first before showing up, even with a reservation. Overall an amazing experience.

Best way to explore! - It’s an amazing experience. Tough to get used to the Italian way but once you get the hang of it, it’s easy and the best way to enjoy the whole coast and beautiful towns!!

Five star experience - We got our scooter dropped off right at our hotel on time. Both ladies were very professional in walking us through information on the scooter and any questions we had. The scooters are in great shape and we drop them along the Amalfi Coast for the day. Such an amazing experience and I highly recommend you rent your scooters from here and nowhere else!

Live like an Italian local on your very own Vespa - I am convinced that scooter hire is the best form of transport in Sorrento and surrounds. The team at Sorrento Trips were friendly and accomodating and made the process of hiring an absolute breeze. The website is very easy to use and straightforward, plus offers a discount code for your next trip! Back to the scooters: They are fun, quirky and garner a lot of attention. We would park up in the city and people would stop to take photos of the Vespas! You can park them in designated spots in the city, which is easier to find before the peak hours. Our go to spot was Piazza della Vittoria, which you can park at, get dinner, do some shopping then walk across to Villa Comunale di Sorrento and enjoy the sunset. We rode them from Piano di Sorrento to Sorrento, Marina di Puolo, Positano, Praiano and back without a single hiccup. If you’re looking to live the Italian lifestyle, hiring these scooters is a MUST. Riding within the town can be a bit chaotic, but once you get used to the way they ride, you can actually save alot of time weaving through traffic (safely). A giant thank you to the team for making our Sorrento trip so memorable, and special thanks to Laura and Maddy for the great communication throughout the rental process. Grazie mille, Andrew

Excellent service, brand new Vespa! - We rent a brand new Vespa for 100€ for a day. The staff was friendly and very responsive. Unfortunately, if you want to park it over night on the street the license plate is not from Positano, so you might pay a ticket.

Rentals in poor condition - I had paid extra to hire a special edition Vespa during a recent trip to the Amalfi Coast and was really looking forward to riding it. First off; the office of this company is almost at the top of Positano, and it is a long & sweaty walk up stairs/roads to reach there. When I arrived and the guy went to fetch my Vespa, I noticed one of the wing mirrors seemed to be held up by a ribbon tied to it. I pointed this out and the guy said something to the effect of 'it's OK'. I was eager to get out so accepted it and took it out for a ride along the coast. However, the mirror was far from OK. The minute I hit the coastal road, the mirror flipped up pointing to the sky, and would not stay in position. Furthermore, the other mirror was also very loose and just swinging around in its socket. This made driving the twisty roads quite treacherous as I had to keep taking my hands off the handlebar to keep adjusting the mirrors. In the end I gave up using the mirrors and had to drive very slowly (to the annoyance of all drivers behind me), and was resorted to turning my head back to see what's behind me. Our day wasn't ruined, as we still got to go to some of the pretty towns along the coast. However, my experience of riding the Vespa was far from enjoyable.
