Great trip - We enjoyed our cruise with ‘Beachcomber Cruise’ very much. The boat trip from Picton to Ship Cove was very informative and pleasant. The cruise from Punga Cove to Picton was speedy and absolutely on time. Thank you for a great service in the Marlborough Sounds. HeiWe

Highly recommend! - This was a great trip from Picton to Ships Cove in the beautiful Marlborough Sounds. Jason, our skipper, gave an excellent commentary during our one hour ride to our destination. The boat was clean, on time, instructions were clear and everyone we were involved with at beachcomber was polite and helpful Our return journey was just as good Thanks Beachcomber!

Queen Charlotte Track with Wilderness Guides - 8 of us from Australia completed the Queen Charlotte Track with Wilderness Guides in Picton. We chose the upgraded 5 day trip with a rest day, which we used to kayak for a day. Wilderness Guides were well organised and good communicators when booking for a trip for 8 people and they were responsive to our needs. The walk was scenic including lovely tasteful accommodation along the way in picturesque settings.

The Queen Charlotte Track will NOT disappoint you! - For day-hikers, this is a Must-Do excursion while in Picton. Our skipper and tour guide for the day, Jason, was excellent. He shared great knowledge about Marlborough Sound history, past and on-going conservation efforts, recent improved ecological quality, and much more. While on the way to our hiking drop-off point, we enjoyed his narrative along the very scenic route; saw dusky dolphins and fur seals. Now, off to the best part of the day; the approximate 12 KM hike along the Queen Charlotte Track between Furneaux Lodge (nice cafe for a coffee to start your hike) and Punga Cove was gorgeous. Expect some slightly challenging inclines along the way, plus stops to take pictures; however, the tour company gives you a good buffer (5 hours) for the 3.5 hour recommended hiking time. The drop off time at the Lodge was 11:00 and the pick-up time at the cove was 4:00. Finish in time to have a well- earned adult beverage at the Cove!

Queen Charlotte Track walk and cruise. - Absolutely fantastic trip, well organised and professional. Water taxi out and got picked up by the mail boat. Lots of information from both captains. Even saw pod of dolphins on the way back to Picton. Would definitely recommend using Beachcomber Cruises if you go to Marlborough Sounds.

Brilliant - The whole experience with Beachcomber was amazing. Everyone is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Jason, our skipper, is a massive asset to the business and is so knowledgeable and involved in the ocean, Marlborough Sounds and the restoration projects under way there. Couldn’t recommend this business more!

Fabulous guided boat cruise & walk on Queen Charlotte Track - We did the boat cruise to the Queen Charlotte Track, Ship Cove to Furneaux Lodge - first of all our captain and guide Jason was fantastic - learned so much we were curious about - the sound, history, marine and forest ecology, Maori history, saw dolphins etc. Gorgeous walk on the track through incredible forest (that he told us about) At the office we queried the time from drop off to pickup of 5 hrs 45 min for a 17.5 km walk (dropped at 10:15, pick up at 4) -was it enough time-it was - we had to keep a pace & shorten our stops on the way but very doable - not a hard walk but if you want to walk more leisurely/enjoy the views then suggest leaving at 8 not 9 am. Thanks Jason and Beachcomber!

Great trip - Skipper provided a very interesting commentary. We walked from Ship Bay to Furneaux Lodge. Only snag is there is not too much to see for a lot of the walk due to the bush. But you do get to see lots of wekas. Good quick boat ride both ways and friendly staff.

Great day out - Our boat skipper was knowledgeable especially about the environment effecting the area. The problem with the trees and the erratification program. Unfortunately we had a rainy day, but he encouraged us to enjoy ourselves. Staff at the office were amazing. Our walk was wonderful except the last hour of rain
