Horribly unsafe vehicle. Kind driver. - I will start with a positive. We loved our guide. He was polite, punctual, and informative. The two star review is for the incredible lack of safety within the vehicle. We booked a 10 hour tour for 4 adults and 2 kids. When we got to the vehicle it was a 5 seater jeep with no middle seatbelt in the back seat so only 4 seatbelts including the driver’s. The other two “seats” were fold down seats in the trunk facing sideways with no seat belts. The driver told us he was “a safe driver” so not to worry. We reluctantly climbed in, giving the children the seatbelts. The AC was barely blowing but he told us it gets colder once the car starts moving. Long story short it didn’t get colder at all and as the outside temperatures climbed to 88F, the inside was much hotter than that. While viewing the lions, the windows had to remain up of course and as the car stopped to give us time to view the lions it was blowing hot air. We began to overheat and had to pour water on towels and wipe our necks to stop us from passing out. When we could open the windows we did for ventilation but were covered in dirt and sand from blowing into our faces on dirt roads. We wound up cutting the tour short to 7 hours because we couldn’t handle it anymore. I reached out to the company at 11am and again each hour after that to tell them how unbearable it was and no response. We live in Florida in the US so we are used to hot and this was completely unsafe and unbearable. I had full heat stroke by the time I got back to the ship and could barely walk up the stairs. I felt terrible for the driver because he tried to tell his boss but he was ignored as well. A family we met on our cruise ship had a similar experience and refused to get into the vehicle. They got a large air conditioned taxi for 1/3 the price and were safe with 6 seatbelts and well ventilated. I recommend that instead.
