Memorable exhilirating experience - Very well organized bicycle ride from Pikes Peak to Colorado Springs. I was surprised to feel how quickly the ride down ended. I had reserved a standard bike while the rest of the members in the group had reserved eBikes. To keep pace with the group, Adventures Out West recommended that I also ride an eBike. That eneded up being the correct advise as there are some stretches of the Pikes Peak road that do go uphill even whenriding down the mountain. The Jeep ride up the mountain was pleasant (the weather was very cooperating). But, being an opn air jeep, sitting in teh back, it was hard to hear what the guide (driver) was explaining as we drove up the mountain. But, all in all, the bike ride was an exhilirating experience. Breaks were frequent and of adequate duration.

An AMAZING experience! - This outfit is composed of the most amazing people! My 13-year-old son and I signed up for this tour before flying out from Kentucky. We drove the Pike's Peak Highway up to the summit the day before the ride, and my son decided that he didn't want to descend down the summit on a bike the next morning. I wasn't going to force him into it and was prepared to take the financial hit on the nose. But when I arrived the next morning to do the bike tour, I casually mentioned the circumstance to the tour directors and they worked to refund me for my son's last-minute cancellation. I truly didn't expect that and was grateful. As for the tour itself--AMAZING!!!! Our driver ("Cougar") had a lot of personality and gave us a bunch of interesting history about the mountain and the highway leading to it (it ranged from racing to forest fires). He honestly made you feel at home and comfortable. The vistas from the jeep were simply astonishing, and it was a great way to relax on the way up to the summit. Once at the summit, we were outfitted with a warm, wind-breaker jacket and gloves (which were needed--it was 38 degrees with wind chill at the summit on a July morning!) and rode with cycling guides in front and behind us. It was incredibly safe and I felt safer on the bike than I did driving up the mountain the day before. The views were magnificent and I even saw a mountain goat cross the road in front of us. There were plenty of stops to take photos and most of the ride was downhill (which made it much easier and there was no saddle soreness after 19 miles). And if you are worried about speed, know that you cannot ride over the posted speed limits and that the ride leaders adapt themselves to the group. There is also a support vehicle that follows you down, so you are covered from all angles! I know I will revisit the Rockies again, and when I do, I am definitely doing this ride again and bringing a few friends (and my son) to do it! You don't want any regrets--you gotta do it!!!

Pikes Peak Bike Adventure! Highly recommend the E-Bikes - Adventures Out West was an amazing experience! My wife and I did the Pikes Peak 19mile bike. From start to finish, this company was a 10 out of 10. Our guides were Scott and Elsa. Both did an amazing job. Was a little windy and chilly at summit of Pikes Peak. Our guides were more than prepared with appropriate gear (jackets, gloves, etc). All equipment is top of the line at no extra cost. The best way to experience this biking adventure is by using their E-bikes. Even though 80% of the Pikes Peak biking is downhill, TRUST US, you will want the E-bikes for the other 20%. My wife and I are fit individuals and the E-bikes were still a must!! We can not recommend this company enough. We will return to Colorado, just to experience another Adventure Out West. Thank you again Scott and Elsa!

5 Stars! Can’t wait to do it again! - My wife and I did the Mountainscape E-Bike Excursion. Our guide, Joe, was absolutely amazing! The bikes were the best I’ve ever ridden. This was my third time on an e-bike and felt completely comfortable. It was challenging and so much fun! The views were absolutely stunning. Joe was so kind, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for adventure and fun. Even if you haven’t ridden and e-bike before I would highly recommend this excursion. From the moment we checked in to the moment we left it was a 5 star experience. Well done!

E-bike tour - Our experience was great! We were greeted immediately upon arrival and Joe our guide explained to us how to use the e-bikes. The e-bikes were very nice and easy to use. The tour was exciting and challenging! We actually did the Mountainscape E-bike excursion The views were absolutely amazing. If we needed anything Joe was quick to accommodate us. We are going back in August with a larger group and can’t wait to do this again.

Great tour and guides! - Adventures Out West was super prepared and my friend and I had a blast on this bike tour. Our guides, Joe and Scott, were amazing. They were kind, fun, and informative, giving a locals' perspective. They brought jackets (the peak is cold), gloves, snacks, and water bottles. The Specialized mountain bikes were nicer than the bike that I own (which is usually not the case for bike tours). Loved the views both going up the mountain in an open-air jeep and coming down on the bikes. Highly recommend!

The Best Tour Ever - So impressed with the guys who took me on my tour ( Bill & Anson). It was a slow day, so I was the only one on the tour (and I kinda felt bad about that, but they insisted we do it). Due to it just being me, I got the royal treatment. My goal was however to see the new visitor center at the top since a few years back when I did the tour, it was under construction. So me being solo today gave me a better than average time to look around the center and take in as much as possible which would have not been possible time wise had there been a full trip participation. Thanks guys, awesome. In addition, I got all kinds of tid bits from my tour guides which I really appreciated. So Bill did the driving and Anson led me down via mountain bike. Also very pleased they let me use my own bike. Anson was great, he was constantly looking back at me to make sure I was doing OK and he and Bill were both very encouraging on a coupe of the tougher uphill portions. Hey, I'm gonna be 69 next week, so not doing too bad. But yea, the altitude makes it pretty hard (I'm from Illinois at 700 or elevation compared toi 13,000 feet). I used my GoPro and I know I got some really great video footage. I'm copying it over to my laptop right now, can't wait to check it out. Again, my sincerest thanks for a super great day.

Bad business practices - AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This company is an unethical fraudster. They charge you tax but the state of Colorado does not charge tax on services so they are pocketing the money that they're collecting in tax for the state of Colorado which is fraud.
