We will take you through a labyrinth of passageways, cellars and wells built below Pilsen as early as from the 13th Century. During the tour you will get to see life below the townand uncover the secrets of authentic finds and nooks and crannies that are hidden underground. You will find out how the underground originated, and see for yourself in how many different ways it was utilised. Thanks to the exhibits and displayed finds, you will be immersed in the history of the town and the everyday life of its citizens in the Middle Ages.

Throughout this adventure, you will experience the subterranean life of the town and unlock the mysteries of genuine discoveries and hidden corners beneath the surface. Learn about the origins of this underground system and witness the multitude of uses it has served. The showcased relics and exhibits will transport you to the town’s history and the daily lives of medieval townsfolk.
As part of your tour, you’ll receive a beer coupon, which can be exchanged for a 0.3l Pilsner Urquell beer at selected Pilsen eateries (only applicable for those aged 18 or older). Don’t forget to pick up a keepsake from our gift shop for yourself and your family.
- We do not recommend entry in women’s shoes with high and narrow heels.
- All year round we recommend our visitors to warmer clothes, the temperature is around + 6°C.
- Children are more than welcome to join the tour, however, beer tasting is only allowed for adults from 18 years old.
- For safety reasons, children under 3 years of age are not allowed entry to the tour route of the Pilsen Historical Underground.
- Pets are not allowed on the tour.
