Duoro Valley Day Wine Tour - I signed up for the Duoro First day wine tour on Nov. 2, 2024 through my hotel (Hilton Porto Gaia). I was picked up on time at my hotel and enjoyed a wonderful tour which included several photo opportunities, wine tasting at Quinta Seara d'Ordens (which I had enjoyed at a restaurant in Lisbon), a beautiful boat ride on the Duoro at Pinhao, and then a wonderful meal in Villa Real before returning to the hotel. I was so happy that I did this tour as every minute was amazing and well planned. As a solo traveler, I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
I also want to say thank you to the Duoro First team. I left my cell phone in the van after returning to the hotel. My hotel contacted Duoro First and the driver drove 90 minutes late at night to return my phone to the hotel. I could not believe the incredible service that they provided! Thank you so much!

TOUR DOURO PREMIUM from PORTO not to be missed.Excellent - Excellent day in the Douro Valley with an excellent and pleasant driver guide José LINO that I recommend. Visit a Porto vineyard on the way and excellent lunch in a high quality private property with excellent hospitality.
Our luxury tour was DOURO PREMIUM from PORTO where the driver picked us up from the hotel.
I highly recommend this tour

Outstanding Duoro Region Tour! - This is an outstanding tour of the Douro region complete with excellent transportation, experienced tour guide, a fabulous and educational visit to a family estate, Quinta Seara d’Ordens and a delicious feast at a beautiful home with local dishes, wine and port. Pedro, our guide for the day, provided local history and many stories during the trip to and from Porto with beautiful countryside landscapes and panoramic views. Well worth the time and money to explore this beautiful region of Portugal!

Amazing company, amazing experience worth every cent!!!! - A trip to the Douro Valley is a must in Portugal and Douro First Tours is, from my experience the best option to explore the area. Our tour guide Pedro was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable not only about this area but also about wine grapes and the history of this region. To have Pedro driving us around was like having instant access to a full encyclopedia of the northern region of Portugal. Douro First Tours really put some thought into our experience, the views…stunning, the privacy and attention to customer care…professional, the selection of our itinerary…extremely thoughtful. From the family owned winery tasting, to the traditional boat ride, to the very private, very authentic experience of the home cooked lunch they selected for us, to every staff member involved throughout our day, it was beyond our expectations.
Thank you Pedro for always providing us with the exact altitude and humidity levels throughout our day, thank you Jose Ricardo and his lovely partner for opening up their home and thank you to Douro First Tours for their five star service all around and the incredible Douro Valley memories you gave us!!

Great Douro-tour with wine-tasting and boat-trip! - Davide was an excellent tour guide! The tour itself contained included everything you could expect. Astonishing views, great wine tasting and a superb lunch! Safe driver Davide entertained us!

A beautiful day. - With a group of 12 people family of each other booked from our hotel in Porto.
The whole day was beautiful. Really well organized. And nothing was short.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Porto.

Thoroughly enjoyable day - We had an excellent tour with David on a rainy day to the Douro Valley but he made it most enjoyable. He was very chatty and gave us lots of background knowledge of the wine and olive growing region . Our group of 7 hit it off straight away . Our tasting and lunch were so enjoyable. I would thoroughly recommend this company and certainly ask for David again

Fun day, but from now on prefer to book at a kiosk - Let me say first of all that we had a nice day. Comfortable mini-van picked us up at the hotel. We were 2 couples. The tasting was informative, cozy and especially tasty (tastings are generally free), the boat trip we shared with 2 other mini-vans (about 12 people), nothing was told and it was the same part of the valley we had already driven through. Porto & snack were tasty. Then for late lunch (3pm!) to what turned out to be the boss's airbnb (tax-wise advantageous it seems). The other mini-vans were there again, but they ate separately. Everyone was uncomfortable. The home cooked meal was fine but in the end this day was definitely NOT worth 160 € p.p. I also reported this to the hotel.

Too much driving - Our guide, Pedro, was excellent - informative, friendly, professional. The winery was beautiful and the tasting room experience was well executed. However, the same experience can be found at any of the port tasting rooms just over the bridge within walking distance of Porto. If seeing the Duoro Valley is on your bucket list then you may enjoy this tour but if you’re mostly looking for wine tasting then skip the tour and simply walk across the bridge. The lunch was very good but served at a random house that is on the way back toward Porto (about 60 minutes away) - it is not at a winery and has no historical or other significance. Seems like a missed opportunity. Overall expect about 4 hours of driving around on narrow twisty roads. Expensive for what it is.

NEVER take this tour! Wasting time&money! - Long drive stuck in small van, infamous unprofessional wine tasting with no good quality, packed ordinary tour, bad quality lunch&wine at fake farm but the owner’s house. Overcharge, totally waste of time and money! Never try this so called premium tour!
