Wonderful private tour of the valley - This was our favorite experience and tour we did in Portugal. The private tour was just me and my husband in a beautiful and comfortable car. Our driver Nani was AMAZING. So friendly and really seems to care about making your tour great. I highly recommend this tour.

Douro Valley Tour - Porto Informative and Delightful Tour 973393130 My granddaughter and husband had visited Porto a few years ago and enthusiastically recommended Alfredo at tourvent. My friends and I were going to Porto and contacted him. Extraordinary! He picked us up at 8:30 am and took us to the Douro Valley. Along the way, he described the uniqueness of the Valley. We toured a vineyard with Alfredo and the vineyard owner, enjoyed a wine tasting, went to another to sample some ports, had a lovely lunch at a scenic inn and restaurant, cruised a portion of the Douro, had a final wine tasting, and before we knew it, it was 7:30 pm. Time flew! We’d go again, and we enjoyed every minute. Alfredo is a wonderful, kind, and interesting guide. Well worth learning about this area with him to guide you.

Best Way to See Douro! - We spent the day with Jaou and it was quite entertaining! He has a vast knowledge of Douro Valley, both the history (test him - you won’t be dissapointed) as well as the wineries. He made sure to stop and give us opportunities to take many scenic photos and fill us in on the coordinating history of that location. The winery we visited was Quinta Seara d’Ordens. It’s a multigenerational family owned winery with many options to please the most discerning of palettes. We had lunch at Quinta De La Rosa and it was delectable. He is personable and truly seemed to enjoy what he does. He made the day memorable for us! If you don’t want to be shuttled around like cattle, the private tour is the way to go!

Exceptional experience in Porto - Thank you to Joao. We started our full first day/visit to Porto with a vineyard tour. Joao provided us with an enjoyable and educational trip. The drive, the food, the wine tasting and the company was exceptional and memorable. One of our cell phones was left behind by accident and Joao immediately reached out and brought it to us. We highly recommend this tour to others, especially if you are looking for a personal experience. Joao was very knowledgeable about Portugal, its history, the people, the food and the wines. Giving Joao a 10 star review. Respectfully, Michael and Amy USA, Connecticut

5 stars! - Fantastic! From the beginning, the Nuno stands out for its professionalism and attention to detail, ensuring that every moment of our trip was perfect. The visit to the farm was one of the highlights, where the wine supply stands out for the quality and authenticity of the wines. At lunch, we were warmly received by José, whose hospitality made us feel like part of the family. To complete, the boat ride through the Douro was simply stunning, with breathtaking scenery. I highly recommend Douro First for those looking for a service of excellence and a truly memorable experience! Certainly to repeat and recommend to all!!!

Delightful Douro Valley - Wonderful day! Nany was our guide. He was excellent, informative and great company. Lunch was superb and exceeded our expectations. My only recommendation is to skip the river boat ride. It did not add value to the experience but rather detracted from the overall loveliness of the day.

Great private tour of Douro Valley - One of the best private tours we have ever taken in Europe. Comfortable van, great wine, all amenities taken care of by an outstanding guide,Nani. Nani is an expert on the Douro valley, seems to know everyone , regardless of where we went and we went all over. The lunch & grape stomping at Quinta Da Zinhara was fantastic. Ended with a nice river cruise and more Porto. We would highly recommend this tour company, worth every Euro. Get Nani if you can, he is terrific!

Not a small group trip! - THIS IS NOT A SMALL GROUP TOUR… I feel all the people involved were great - the driver , the wine cellars etc- but we felt mislead. We were made to believe that a max of 6-8 people travel together , and have a small boat experience, followed by an intimate lunch and time to walk around in the valley/ village. However; the boat had about 80-100 people and our family got separated and it was like a green house in the glass enclosure; the lunch - although a beautiful setting was with a big noisy groups of other people in similar tours … In all I wish we were made aware of these - so we could have chosen a more quiet and intimate trip.

Unimpressed - The tour was to be from 9.00am to 7.00pm. A premium tour with wine and olive tasting. Lunch with wine tasting and a boat trip. We were picked up at the hotel at 8.45am by a nice polite gentleman called Pedro. Zero complaints about him. He informed us that lunch would be around 3.00pm. Yikes! First stop olive oil and wine tasting. One olive oil poured into a glass with a little bread I would not call that a tasting. They should have at least 3 or 4 options. Next the wine tasting with 5 wines and the same glasses being reused over and over. Once again not a true tasting! Lunch with wine tasting? Do you want a glass of red or white? Once again not a tasting! Lunch was not even in Douro but had some relative's farm house. Boat trip was okay but very crowded. We got dropped off at the hotel at 5.00pm. All this for 160 Euros per person. Stay in Porto for your wine tastings but I have to admit that the Valley is very scenic.
