Our guide Francesco was great, very communicative before and during the trip. He gave us insight into both Pisa and Florence. We loved this trip because it was the opposite of many alternates to cruise tours from Livorno, starting in Pisa instead of Florence. We were so grateful to have the quiet morning in Pisa, and take our time to enjoy the architecture there. Francesco had water and air conditioning available in the van, the seats were very comfortable and there was plenty of room in the back of the van for our travel wheelchair. He gave us a brief tour of Florence city by car before dropping us of near a market, and also gave us great advice on shopping, sites to visit and a place for lunch. We were so impressed with this tour!

Great experience in Pisa & Florence! Very helpful communication. - Francesco is an experienced, courteous professional. He dropped up close to the leaning tower in Pisa, then got us quickly to Florence so we could maximize our time in the city. He suggested a brief stop at Piazzale Michelangelo on the way for a great view overlooking the city. He then gave us a quick tour of the general lay out of the main sites and was right on time to take us back to the ship. The van was top notch transportation with wifi on board. We had a great day. AMAZING!!! - This will be a long story but please read. I originally booked this excursion without knowing we would be docking at La Spezia port instead of Livorno. I contacted the driver Francesco the day before to notify him that I screwed up on the ports and could he pick us up from the other port. He agreed to do so for a small fee since it was 1.5hrs away from the other port, I agreed to pay it when he arrived. Well there was a huge wreck on the highway that caused major delays, he notified me that he was running a little behind for our pickup. Once he arrived he discussed our options for going to Florence and Pisa and told us it would take twice as long to get there due to the traffic being redirected. We insisted that we still wanted to go and had the time to do so. On our way out of town my dad started having heart attack symptoms and we were forced to turn around and get him help. He stayed so calm and knew what to do! He got us to a police station where they were able to call us an ambulance for him. I rode with my Dad in the ambulance and he drove my family to the hospital. After arriving at the hospital with my dad I noticed that he and my family were already there waiting for us. We were at the hospital for 7hrs. (by the way, it's really like a 3rd world country-socialized medicine sucks!) This man stayed in the parking lot of the hospital for the entire 7hrs and checked on us regularly and even drove my daughter and friend to get food at one point. When my dad was released he was there waiting and brought the car to him so he wouldn't have to walk. He even called the cruise ship port and got permission to enter the port to take us directly to the ship. He said in 10yrs of doing these excursions he has never been allowed to enter the port. I give him 5stars but would give him 50 if I could!!! He was such a blessing!!! I tried to pay him the money I owed him for coming to the other port and he wouldn't take it! If you are wanting to book a cruise excursion from Livorno or La Spezia, Italy please use Francesco......HE IS AMAZING!!!!

terrible - awful! all he did was drive, never got out of the car to show us a round or describe anything. he was just a driver!
