Beautiful Area - Having been to Pisa, we skipped that part of the tour. Mateo drove us straight to Riomaggiore and sent a link to buy train tickets. We had a wonderful time wandering through the cities and enjoying the sights. The day gave us a great overview of the area. Definitely recommend this if your cruise docks in Livorno.

The BEST summer choice from Livorno - If you are cruising in July/August, treat yourself to Cinque Terre and go with Simone! Florence is a crowded, stressful oven at that time of year. Cinque Terre is unique, tranquil and exceptionally beautiful. Simone makes the trip even more astounding and luxurious. Through a quick tour in his native Pisa, he imparted to us that the impressive city is so much more than a leaning tower. The astounding UNESCO villages of Cinque Terre will not disappoint and Simone elevates getting there to the next level.

Excellent Excursion - Dario was an excellent driver. He was on time picking us up and made a few stops in Pisa to show us the sights before dropping us off in the first town of Cinque Terre. When we were done he was waiting for us exactly as described. He provided maps and tips for a smooth day in these beautiful coastal towns.

Wonderful, It was a pleasure to be with Simone on this tour - Awesome tour and even better driver/tour guide.. Simone was awesome. Gave us a lot of information and sights of Pisa (his hometown) things we would of never seen or knew.. On our way to Cinque Terre he showed us a lot of places pointing out along the way. Drop off and pickup were perfect as well as info on how to navigate the Cinque Terre islands. He is an asset to this tour group..

Pisa and Cinque Terre in one day - Our one day at Livorno port was exactly as described Our lovely driver, Simone, was punctual, polite and friendly Pisa was wonderful and we managed to see all 5 towns of cinque Terre and make it back to our boat in comfort and on time Thsnks for the dining tips Simone, we had a wonderful day

Book it! - Simone picked us up from Livorno and took us in a private car to Pisa he was able to park very close and we were there before the tourists. He then took us to the closest point of the train to Cinque Terre he explained exactly how to get around the towns and where to meet back up. He was very knowledgeable and made our experience fun. Private for sure is the way to go! He was the best tour guide!

The villages are really... - The villages are really awesome. My wife and I like Riomaggiore and Manarola the most. Cinque Terre is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited in my whole life.

Wonderful Day! - Simone was a wonderful driver- safe but effective at navigating quickly. He offered wonderful commentary and pointed out interesting sites along the way. He was great at explaining what to do and he made us fall in LOVE with Pisa! I would definitely recommend this excursion!

Enjoyable day in Pisa and Cinque Terre - We really enjoyed our time with Matteo as our driver. It is my understanding that in Italy, you need to have a license to be marketed as a tour guide. For that reason, most listings for tours are clear to specify that the agreement is for a driver and not a tour guide. Despite the fact that this is how these tours are advertised, it was our experience that most drivers act as unlicensed tour guides, with a lot of information that they share with their clients while they drive. Matteo was very friendly and a good communicator. He was polite and spoke English well. He did not wear the ‘tour guide hat’ quite as much as some of our other drivers in different ports of call though. For this reason, I would say that this company provided more of a driver than a driver and guide combination. Overall, it was a great day, and I would recommend the company and Matteo.

Cruise ship could not dock due to bad weather - local provider refused refund - Unfortunately, our cruise ship could not dock in Livorno the day we were scheduled for this tour due to unsafe weather conditions. (September 12, 2024). We had been in contact with our driver the day before, and at his recommendation and in good faith that we were committed to be on this tour, pre-purchased our train tickets to avoid standing in line for them. We immediately contacted Viator when we were told we could not dock and they reached out to the provider several times to grant us a refund, even suggesting a partial refund and he refused. We also tried to reason with him and he began getting rude with us, so we stopped engaging him. Viator is still trying and has escalated our refund request but told us that it's their policy that refunds for cancelations within the 24-hour period are completely at the discretion of the tour operator. We spoke to others who had Viator-booked excursions that day and they had received immediate refunds. We did get to Livorno the following day, as we were supposed to overnight there, and took another tour from a local provider there. They told us that they had to cancel all of their tours to Cinque Terre the day before because of the weather so we were not sure what kind of tour we would've had if we had docked and could go. We've booked many excursions with Viator and have been satisfied. We are still hopeful this will get resolved and will receive at least some of the $800 we paid (for 6 people) refunded, but I just wanted to warn folks that this can happen and we are encouraging Viator, on behalf of their customers, to discontinue contracting with local providers who are unreasonable in these types of situations.
