Wonderful tour with breathtaking scenery - The tour agency was very receptive with questions. They picked me up on time early around 5 AM. The agency creates a whatsapp group and gives updates on pickup time. After pickup, we drove in a comfortable van to Camina. The valley is beautiful with different colored soil on the mountains.
We had breakfast there. Then it took a two to three hour drive on mostly country roads to reach the three lagoons: Red, Blue and Yellow. There are really no restrooms along the way. It is best to eat less, so you don't get caught in an awkward situation. Keep some snacks with you, as there are no shops and you are in the trip for 6 hours without water and food.
Along the way, the roads can be daunting as you see steep falls on the side. No worries as the driver is experienced and capable. The ride is tough on the body as it is pretty bumpy.
After you come back to Camina, you get a hearty lunch/dinner. Then we drove back to Iquique. Along the way you have a stop at a Petroglyphs attraction.
It was a good tour and the scenery of the Atacama desert is wonderful. You reach your hotel around 8 PM.
