Highlights
  • PPU Pittsburgh Playhouse - Peer into the eerie past of the Pittsburgh Playhouse, where performers claim to hear ghostly applause echoing through the empty halls. There’s a lingering spirit of The Lady in White, often spotted silently watching the stage from the balcony. The whispers of long-deceased actors are said to fill the air, leaving visitors with an unsettling chill.
  • University of Pittsburgh - Wander the grounds of Pittsburgh University, where several buildings are steeped in ghostly lore. The Cathedral of Learning is rumored to host several spectral students who wander its Gothic hallways. As night falls, the ghostly figure of the Blue Lady is said to roam, blending seamlessly into shadows and sending shivers down spines.
  • Allegheny County Health Department - Stand before the Allegheny County Health Department, where eerie tales of restless spirits abound. Former employees report the unnerving feeling of being watched, and cold spots where no draft should be found. The most chilling legend involves an apparition of a long-lost patient who roams the grounds, seeking closure.
  • 440 Ross St - Glance at the foreboding façade of the Old Allegheny Jail Museum, a 19th-century relic with a dark past. Ghosts of former inmates are said to haunt the cells, their anguished cries still heard by night. The eerie figure of a spectral warden, forever pacing the corridors, adds to its bone-chilling atmosphere.
  • Frick Building - This iconic piece of Pittsburgh architecture was named after Henry Frick, arguable one of the most controversial millionaires this city has ever seen. Here, your guide will explain why–and if you join us for our extended tour, they’ll get into reported hauntings.
  • Union Trust Building - Commissioned by Mr. Frick (yes, the same one!) in 1915, this Gothic style building is another one that makes Pittsburgh’s skyline unique and beautiful. Listen as your guide goes into detail about its fascinating past, including a rather strange mystery about what’s on the roof.
  • Omni William Penn Hotel - End your tour with the grand Omni William Penn Hotel, known for its paranormal activity as much as its luxury. Guests over the years have reported seeing the specter of a 1920s-era woman gliding gracefully down the hallways. The mysterious piano music that resonates through the night is often attributed to the ghost of a bygone musician, serenading from beyond the grave.

Not the best - The guide was a poor story teller and this ended up being really boring. It also ended up being twice as long.
