TUI excursion with excellent guide. - We booked this tour through the TUI website and we're really pleased we did. pick up was about 5 minutes walk from hotel, ensuring you do not stop at every hotel . Coach seats are comfy and mist importantly the windows were clean.Right from the start the guide Roger was really informative and friendly. At each stone explained what was good to see and also where the toilets were. First stop was a goat farm with tastings of cheese, jam and honey rum. We then went to Ajuy caves, which was a long dangerous in places walk. We needed more time here as as soon as you got to the caves, you had to turn around and get back, but worth the walk. Then on to Pjara and Betancuria. In Betancuria it is worth visiting the church, which is us 2 euros, but worth it. The museum is worth a visit as not only is it free, but it has a free toilet. Lunch was very late, which is a downside to trip. It consisted of Canadian soup, which was delicious, followed by chicken and the let down was a child's tub of ice cream, with no flavour at all.. last stop was an aloe Vera outlet with demonstration and sample of wine. We didn't listen to the talk as seen before, but Instead wandered around admiring the scenery. The coach driver impressed us by washing the coach whilst waiting. On the way back the people on first in the morning were off first in the evening, making it fairer for travel time. Would really recommend this tour and us a bargain at the price compared to some other tours.

Could have been better. - The guide was very knowledgable, and the coach driver was very familiar with his route, which gave us some confidence on some of the very narrow roads. The first hour was nearly taken up with collecting other passengers. The visit to the goat farm for sampling was nothing more than a sales pitch for cheese and other products, although you could walk around some of the buildings. The visit to the caves was okay for those who were sure-footed, but we were told that it was quite a strenuous walk along a narrow path, which my partner was not keen on attempting. Lunch was included on the trip, which started with a very watery soup, followed by roast chicken leg. There was no vegetarian option available, so for lunch, I had some boiled potatoes, sliced tomatoes, and inedible coleslaw. Desert was a tub of something. Previous trips we had booked had a buffet lunch. The visit to the Aloe Vera 'Farm', was another sales opportunity, albeit an excellent talk on the plant and it's benefits. There was no farm tour. Highlights of the trip were the visit to the church, it required a €2 entry charge, but was worth it, and the stop for taking photos from a vantage point.

Disappointed and pricey ‘tour’ - Disappointed The tour guide didn’t seem interested Didn’t like the selling aspect of this tour ie goats cheese and aloe Vera although the talk on the aloe Vera plant was very informative What I didn’t like was the lunch and the enforced all sitting together with people you don’t know not everyone wants this !
