Additional Information

This is a trekking excursion that provides a superior view of the Prokletije mountain range, the largest in the Balkans. The Prokletije, part of the Dinarides mountain system, are the most southern, tallest, and impressive. The region of Prokletije is administratively partitioned between Albania, Serbia - Kosovo, and Montenegro. It stretches from Skadar Lake and the Zeta Valley in the southwest, extends to the Drim River in the east, Metohija and Mokra Gora in the northeast, and Komovi in the west. Prokletije’s imposing high sharp peaks earned it the nickname ‘Balkan Alps’. In Albanian or ‘Bjeshket e Nemuna’, Prokletije translates to ‘cursed mountains’, a testament to the area’s formidable accessibility.
