Family Fun at Aqualava: A Day of Splashing Adventures in Playa Blanca
Eager to find a family-friendly adventure in Playa Blanca, I took my kids to Aqualava Waterpark. With its promise of modern, sustainable fun, I was curious to see if it would meet our expectations.
A Splashing Day at Aqualava Waterpark
When planning our family trip to Playa Blanca, I knew that a visit to Aqualava Waterpark was a must. As a mother of three, I always seek out activities that cater to a range of ages and interests, and Aqualava promised just that. With its reputation for being modern, sustainable, and family-friendly, I was eager to see if it lived up to the hype.
Arriving at Aqualava
We arrived at the park just before 11 am, and I was pleasantly surprised to find no queues at the entrance. This was a relief, as managing three excited kids in a long line can be quite the challenge! The process of securing lockers was seamless, and I appreciated the convenience of being able to pay by card.
Once inside, we quickly found a spot to set up camp for the day. There were plenty of chairs and parasols available, which made it easy to find a comfortable spot for our belongings. I was mindful to avoid the smoking area near the wave pool, as I wanted to ensure a healthy environment for my children.
Fun for All Ages
The water temperature was just right, and the gradual slope of the main pool made it perfect for my youngest to splash around safely. The octopus pool was a hit with my 3-year-old, who delighted in the small slides and shallow water. Meanwhile, my 14-year-old was thrilled with the more adventurous slides, especially the infamous Aqua Bowl, which we affectionately dubbed “The Death Drop.”
The lazy river provided a relaxing break for all of us, and I found it easy to get on and off at various points. Although the water was a bit chilly, it was refreshing and added to the fun. The abundance of floats meant that we could all enjoy a leisurely float around the park.
Dining and Departure
When it came time for lunch, the park’s restaurant offered a variety of options that pleased everyone. The gluten-free pizza was a standout, and I was grateful for the park’s attention to dietary needs. After a satisfying meal, we returned to the water for more fun.
As the day wound down, we enjoyed one last session in the wave pool before heading out. The staff was incredibly helpful in booking a taxi back to our hotel, making the end of our day as smooth as the beginning.
Overall, our visit to Aqualava Waterpark was a fantastic experience. It may not be as grand as some of the larger parks in Florida or Tenerife, but it offered a delightful day of fun and relaxation for our family. We left with smiles on our faces and a promise to return on our next trip to Lanzarote.
