Trip review - This tour was absolutely worth it and the deluxe drink package was definitely worth it as well. The tour guides were fun and made the trip great and the lunch spot had the best food I've had on my trip so far. The only downside is that there is much more driving than you think. Technically it's 2 and a half hours to chichen Itza but you also have to account for all the pick ups. So the ride ends up being about 4 and a half hours each way. But that's literally the only downside to this trip. I would do it again any day. I loved it. Thanks for the tour!

I really enjoyed it. - Every destination of the tour is worth it, it takes time to reach the pyramid but it is a time forever. I also bathed in the cenote although my daughters not because I was afraid, then met for a few minutes Valladolid, the company and the guides were responsible for our good times.

We will repeat with Caribe Mex Tours - Punctual, very well documented Guide, friendly, friendly. He took us to a Mayan village where we were with a shaman and Mayan dances. We also learned how they made cochinita pilbil. In Valladolid we visited the church of San Servasio and the surrounding area. We loved the experience. We will repeat with Caribe Mex Tours. Affordable prices.

Long Day Full of Experiences - This excursion was definitely a full day. 4 stops in total including the buffet lunch which was first. The buffet included a welcoming ceremony by a Shaman and dancers while we ate. There is also a souvenir shop with plenty of options. Chichén Itzá itself was about 2 hours with half of it being a guided tour and the other half you are free to explore. I will say we were not able to see everything at Chichén Itzá since it’s so big, so if you want to experience the whole thing, you might want to book these pyramids as it’s own half day excursion. As for the cenote, the pictures were spot on. It was so beautiful and the swim was refreshing. We only spent an hour there so again, consider how much time you’d like to spend at the cenote if you are planning to go. The town was a short stop but I was able to grab a meal for the 2-3 hour ride back to Cancun. I would recommend bringing your own food for in between excursions if you do not book this tour with the food. Our tour guide, Jorge, was funny and very nice. He spent time educating us on Mayan culture, taught us a few words from the Mayan language, and even showed us his Mayan birth certificate. The logistics man (I’m sorry I forgot his name!) was also extremely helpful. He sold cold water bottles for $1 USD each and even sold bug repellent and sunscreen in case anyone forgot theirs. Overall the excursion was a great day, just be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and a hat! The sun could be brutal. Also do not forget spare pesos/cash for souvenirs and tips.

2nd Time Around - This was the 2nd visit to Chichen Itza and our girls 1st. Another fantastic experience. Yes it was hot but that’s to be expected. The first stop was lunch and a religious ceremony. We didn’t like after the native ritual the “leader” tried to sell us a “blessed” idol for $500. Then he lowered the price for a smaller version for $250. I wondered if they even noticed the big Ankh tattooed on my arm. That should have been their sign we weren’t falling for this trick. Plus if they asked they would have known we were from NYC. Enough said. The stop at the “calendar” which most of us refer to as a pyramid was just as wonderful as the first time. We joined a Tour guide in English from a different group. Learned more than the first time. Around the sites are too many vendors trying to sell you the same merchandise. Even had those “idols” the leader tried to sell us back at lunch. One guy selling tshirts actually got upset because I wanted to bargain down the price. 1 for $25 and it’s not from JCrew. They need to cut the vendors down to a few and arrange them in one section. Distracted from the views of the ancient site. Asphalt is needed to paved the paths around the area as well. The Cenote was a great experience. The girls loved it. Too short a visit. Then we stopped at Valladolid. Nice experience. Lists of action around the park. But again the stay was too short. More vendors selling the same souvenirs. Wanted to see unique items by local craftsmen. Maybe on Etsy. Be prepared for a long drive but the bus was quiet for the most part with the exception of these 4 Frenchmen that had a lot to talk about. One tried to tease me about being from Brooklyn while he wore a Knicks jersey of a French draft bust for the Knicks. He assumed being from Brooklyn meant I wasn't a Knick fan. He need to upgrade his jersey to Brunson or a Knick legend like Ewing. But overall it was a good experience. Next time we will get a private ride and tour guide.

IT'S WORTH GOING BUT THE JOURNEY IS VERY HEAVY - The visit itself is worth it, the temples are very good, although the tour of Chichen Itza is somewhat short, the cenotes are worth more than anything to refresh. The journey is a toston, from the area of the resorts it is about 3 hours out and 3 back, to finish fixing the journey, our driver (a certain Augustine) had the air conditioning butt since he picked us up in the morning (5:50h), everyone was complaining but the guy did not lower it at any time, apart from his way of driving left much to be desired compared to Esteban, who took us to two other excursions and regulated the air conditioning to be all at ease and drove very well.

To much time wasted on... - To much time wasted on souveigner shops, where we could go straight to the tour. This tour focuses on us to buy souveigner items, half a day we did nothing but go to these places.

Get ready to waste your time - It was supposed to be visiting 3 places, and if they take you to those 3 places, but that’s the secondary thing, because you go to other places that they’re interested in first to get you to shop, and I know most tours do that but they do it in the end, when you’ve already seen everything you paid for, but they don’t want to ensure that you have money to spend first at their stops, and the worst part is that you waste so much time that what you really want to see, they do it in a hurry and you have to settle for that .. at least 50% of the time is wasted on things outside of what you pay for.
