Above and beyond with Marcela - We had such an incredible time on this tour, I cannot recommend it enough. Marcela was absolutely delightful, we loved having her as our guide. You can tell she truly cares about what she was talking about. She is so funny and knowledgeable. We loved learning about the history as well as the culture of the Mayans. She also took the time to take wonderful pictures for all of us with different angles and poses. I cannot recommend her enough!!!! The money for the archaeological taxes and rental must be paid in Mexican pesos in cash. The amounts listed on description are not accurate for the amount we actually paid. I hope that this is updated!!! I also wish that we had a cooler of drinks in the car as with other tours I’ve taken. Regardless, this was a once in a lifetime experience for us

Just do the tour, you will have zero regrets! - Very well guided tour by our fearless leader Manuel (TAQUILLA!) and Issac. Our tour of Ek Balam was unfortunately omitted from the tour last minute, but the tour of the tiny village, cenote, buffet lunch, and ending with Chichén Itza was amazing. Manuel had such a great knowledge of all the amazing Myan mysteries of Chichén Itza (including being able to hear simple quiet talking across the sport field and the mysterious “birds” at the pyramid). I would highly recommend Amigo Tours to anyone thinking of doing a day of exploration off resort. Amigo Tours picked us up at our resort in the morning and dropped us back off at the end of the day. FIVE STARS! TAQUILLA!!! (IYKYK)

Great experience to be able to climb on Ek Balam - Roberto (Beto) and Luis did a good job of getting us there. Beto explained the ruins and let us roam around for the rest of the time with a specified time to meet back up. The additional fees (entry) prices were about 37$ a person at Chichen itza and 25$ a person at Ek Balam

Fantastic experience! - Beto and Jose were a great team. You couldn’t ask more from Beto regarding knowledge of the area, he was vey informative which allowed me to enjoy the site in a broader way. I would highly recommend.

A real wonder of the world - Great visit to Chichen Itsa, super early pick up very worthwhile as was less busy when we arrived mid morning, and also not at peak temperature. Our guide was excellent and gave a much more tailored and thoughtful tour rather than gimmicky rubbish I could hear from other tours. Bus driver (Jose I think) was always ready and waiting outside for us which in 35 degree heat being able to get straight on air conditioner mini bus was a real plus point Ek Balam spectacular also, and cenote good to cool of in although was very busy there. Food there was fine, nothing special but as advertised really. Guide collects extra tourist/entry fees at start so on our tour we weren’t landed with anything unexpectedly. Had a great day, thanks

Trip cancelled a day prior - Amigo Tours cancelled this tour a day prior to departure and gave us some alternatives which did not work out for us. Guess it is a not a popular /revenue making trip for them.

Cancelled - We were disappointed that the tour was cancelled the day before. Evidently they did not get enough people to have that early morning tour. Amigo tours offered to put us on the later tour that did not included Ek Balam and did not include viator’s discount. Because we were wanting to go to Chichen Itza we went ahead and took the tour but we were still disappointed that we didn’t get to see Ek Balam and had to go to Valladolid which was a waste of time. If you have seen a city square in Mexico you have already seen this one. We did enjoy the guides, Pastor, Cuau and Javier from Amigo tours on the later more expensive tour.

Maybe it would be good if it happened, but they never showed up. - We were bailed on at the last second and weren't given a phone call or text message on whatsapp. We woke up at 4 am and went and stood in the parking lot with other people who booked. Finally after they no showed I started texting and found out it was cancelled. I had to break the news to the other people in the parking lot and took the time to say it in their languages via google translate. Afterwords I refused to let my 20 year long dream to see the Chichen Itza be destroyed so I rented a car and drove there myself and hired us a tour guide. If I wasn't so determined it wouldn't have happened. I would have flown back to Canada without seeing that beautiful place. Now I'm in the process of getting my refund. Oh well.
