Recommended new and fast - Great new ferry line. Fast and new. However I bought my ticket online and it took forever to be verified. I thought it should have been faster but they had to look up my reservation and confirm my identity and it took so much longer than just buying a ticket on site.

Smooth sailing. - After reading different reviews online, I was concerned that ticketing might be difficult. I thought it went very smoothly. I presented my online voucher at the well marked company stall along with my passport for identification. I was issued an open ended round trip ticket. I presented the ticket at both ends of my trip and it was scanned without incident. If you want to sit outside you must be seated before the ferry moves. I would suggest a Dramamine type product if you have issues with motion sickness. I felt a little nauseous going over to Cozumel and decided to buy some Dramamine for the return trip. I enjoyed being seated outside and felt less bothered by the ships movements. The ferry itself was very clean, and the staff was attentive to passengers and embarking and disembarking the ferry. The staff members that I spoke with were pleasant, but their ability to communicate in English was limited.

~30 minutes to cross the channel from Playa Del Carmen to Cozumel. - We walked up to the top level. It was $40 to get return tickets from Playa Del Carmen. The water was rough but the boat captain is very good. There seems to be a fair amount of traffic crossing back and forth. They give you luggage tickets and there is no charge for checked luggage. All staff very friendly. You can buy drinks if desired and a waiter comes around for everyone.

Smooth sailing - Ferry operated on time and even waited past 10 minutes on one occasion for those running late but made up for that with the travel time. Queuing can be a little confusing when intersecting with other service providers.

Excellent service - They're the best ferry company on the Riviera Maya, period. Attention, cleaning, service. It is a service far superior to the competition.

Great Ride! - It was a nice easy process. To change the voucher you do have to wait in a line. They were nice and friendly. Getting on and off the boat was fast. The ride is a little rough so bring some motion meds. Overall great for the price.

Ultramar was a better option. - Had to use a ferry service three times while I was in the region. Rode with Ultramar the first time and the next day twice on Xcarete Xailing. My comparison in unbias to either company. But riding with ultramar was an experience, an enjoyable one. Both times that I rode xcarete xailing i couldnt waint to get off that thing. For 45mins straight their TV keep on repeating the same xcarete infomertials over and OVER, and OVER… Ultramar has a performer on it and have the ability to buy drinks. If you dont mind infomercials you shouldnt have any issues. It was just overbearing for us…
