Perfect family day - We rented a cabana which was great. The private bathrooms were sooo nice. The kids jungle was really fun for kids 10 and under. Lazy river was longest I had ever been on. When we went kids slides were heated water but nothing else was heated but it was not that cold yet. Plan about 20-30 minutes for shuttle ride to the ticket office from parking or drop off.

Awesome Experience! - We went for spring break and we all had a wonderful time!!! We were 2 couples with a 7 and 9 year old and the park was perfect for the girls. It wasn't too large. Everything was close by. Food and drinks were great. Service was excellent! Highly recommend of you have young kids.

Not all slides operational - We visited 2 years ago so we knew what to expect. Paid the full ticket price and only when entering the park, we were handed a 200 peso compensation card to use at the restaurant - enough for 2 bottles of water. The compensation was for the non-operation of the main family slide - the primary reason for us visiting, but we watched the cranes disassembling it as we floated by on the lazy river. No mention of its closure on the website, and only after we paid the full price at the gate and too late to reconsider. The website still shows the closed slide in full operation. Very disappointing

Good for 1 time but bad food - The only thing I didn't like, and for what we paid it should have been wonderful, was the food. A chicken wrap (more lettuce than chicken) for 500 pesos is quite simple. The burger didn't taste good as did the shrimp tacos. Everything is very simple and done quickly. The drinks are nothing wonderful, a coquito-shaped glass for 490 pesos with 1 oz of liquor. The VIP cabins were super good and included 4 dishes so we liked it quite a bit, but maybe they could add some amenities like a coffee maker. The service is very good and our waiter was wonderful and super attentive. The park is fine, there are two slide towers and one of them has 3 slide options. The wave pool is nice and the lazy river is also very cool. The jacuzzi with hot water is wonderful although it needs more powerful jets. The driver of the little train was very good and the people at the entrance were also very fast. That thing about having your things checked on the way out seems a little extreme to me, they should request a credit card upon entry as a guarantee and thus guarantee that no one takes anything, but not do a search, I think that takes away from the class. experience. I wouldn't go back but if you go once and without expecting much of the food.

Jungala small water park - Jungala is a very small water park. We enjoyed the lazy river but there are only a few water slides for adults. I´m sure it is perfect for small children, Since it is so small,we did the half day which is cheaper. 3 hours was enough time for us.

Decent Water Park / Atrocious Hotel - The entrance fee is expensive for what you get, but it’s beautiful insides and immaculate. The actual attractions are very limited however.. It looks and feels like they were trying to copy Jurassic Park. It’s chic and clean but after 2-3 hours you’ve seen the vast majority of the facility. Slides, wave pool, lazy river, splash pads. Keep in mind this is owned by Vindata resorts which is better known for the $5 bottle of drinking water in their hotels as well as the super slow speed internet connectivity should you not opt for the costly upgrade. Grand Mayan should be avoided if you have anxiety concerning accessibility or cost extras. It’s very very expensive at the end of the day and is in need of some updates and repairs. Just keep tabs on your wallet at all times. They will empty it for you if you’re not paying attention.

Blah and incredibly overpriced for what you get! Does not compare with parks in the states! - The best things I can say about Jungala are that lunch was good at the Waves restaurant and that the park was pretty. Everything else was just meh. For any of you who have been to a water park in the states, you will be incredibly disappointed. Quite frankly, I felt like the only thing we had paid for was yet another pool eperience. We might just as well have gone to the main pool. The wave pool was especially blah!!!! Typically, this is where I would want to spend most of my day - not here! It was the most boring wave pool I have ever been in. The lazy river is lovely, but it's just a lazy river, and the rides were only ok - those that were actually open. And for this day, we paid over 80 bucks per person!! What a let down from some of the really great water parks we have visited in the states, such as Universal's Raging Waters. I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone - not at the price they want for the experience.
