Alex was a pleasure to... - Alex was a pleasure to tour with as he made the tour feel personable instead of commercialized. He was also helpful in explaining how to get around and which activities are worth going to. The bike ride was just enough to feel good but not exhausting. The cenotes were amazing. 5 stars!!!

The perfect 'off the beaten path' morning tour - This was my first time in this part of the world, and I wanted to experience a cenote but without the crowds. I'm also an active guy and so the idea of biking (for a bit over an hour total) and checking out a cenote (also for about an hour total) was such a cool way to get off the resort and see some real Mexico. Alex is great! He's knowledgeable and passionate, easy to communicate with, and went out of his way to come pick us up from a property just outside Playa del Carmen that wasn't listed on Viator (for a small fee, which is totally understandable). I'd definitely recommend this for anyone who likes to get off the beaten path when they travel. Alex made us feel so comfortable, it felt like we were just hanging out with a local for a few hours who happened to know a gravel road that would take us to a cenote.

Ideal morning - My girlfriend and I biked to the cenote with Alex this morning. It was such a great experience! He picked us up right outside of our building and drove us to the start of the ride. Alex was super friendly and he made us feel very welcome. The cenote was beautiful and refreshing after our ride. We were also lucky to have the place almost all to ourselves while we were there. Such a great time!

A True Hidden Gem - This is by far one of the best and most mesmerizing tours/trips I have ever done and I have done a lot. Authentic, raw, and magical, this bike, cenote and caves tour will leave you speechless. Far from touristy spots, you'll literally experience the hidden gems of Cancun/Playa del Carmen with Alex. Alex is friendly, knowledgeable, responsive, and professional. He has all the historical, local, and scientific explanations to the spots he will walk you through! The caves are unbeatable!

The best experience! Definitely recommend - This was the best part of our trip! Alex picked us up from the hotel (which wasn't listed on the booking, but he accommodated anyways). He was timely and his communication was great (on WhatsApp). He was very knowledgeable and passionate about the local fauna and history of the area. We asked a lot of questions and he always answered thoughtfully with great detail. The bike ride portion was good, we went at our own pace, passed through a local village, through the jungle and finally made it to the cenote which was empty. This is a great way to avoid the big tours and crowds and really connect with nature. We spent about an hour or so swimming around and cooling off! I would definitely recommend water shoes so you can climb the rocks. As there were just 2 of us, it's kind of like a 'choose your own adventure' since there is no set plan. After the cenote, we added on a spelunking tour through a nearby cave system which I would definitely recommend doing if you're not afraid of the dark or claustrophobic. To be honest, I'm quite scared of the dark, but Alex had a really calming demeanor and I surprisingly wasn't afraid at all. So don't let that deter you! Alex was also great at capturing photos for us so we could remember the experience! I would recommend this to anyone and would definitely do it again. We also got great food recommendations after and it was the best food we had during our trip!

A wonderful day of jungle, biking, and cenote swimming - The pleasure of vacationing in and around Playa De Carmen will be increased considerably when you tour with Mama Nature and super host Alex! Very approachable knowledgeable and respectful, Alex made sure every detail of our excursion was confirmed the day before. He arrived early to pick us up and on the 20 minute drive to the starting point of the bike tour, he went over all the details of our itinerary, answering and questions and assuring us in our choice. Before we even swung a leg over the bike, Alex fit each to the rider and politely reviewed their operation. The. We were off for a 7.5 mile ride in the jungle, starting in a local village and the out in the thick of it. About an hour later we arrived at a private cenote where Alex expertly explained to us where to enter, where to jump off the ledge up high (taking the first plunge himself) and then acting as photographer and videographer for the day (he takes really good shots too). Then after an hour it was back the way we came. Exhausted, we were so thankful when Alex took us to a local OXXO for refreshments. I’d rare Alex a 100/100 and the tour that high as well. It was a truly wonderful active day hosted by a kind young man sharing his country with us. A word of advice: bring at least two bottles of water for each rider Viator indicates that you should bring snacks which maybe you wish to do but water is an essential as there’s nothing available in the jungle.

Highlight of our trip to Mexico, get to know the Cenotes in a private tour! - The Bike Tour was a hightlight of our vacation in Mexico. Initially we couldn’t pick our Hotel as pick-up point on Viator but after booking our Guide contacted us to pick us up at our accomodation. He picked us up punctually and after a few minutes in the car he gave us our bikes and helmets and we drove about 12 km to a hidden cenote, which we had all to ourselves. On the way through the jungle we even saw 2 green parrots. At the cenote we had enough time to admire the nature and take a long swim in the cristalclear water. Alex is very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information about how cenotes were created, which was very interesting. After our swim we got back on our bikes and drove back to the car. We liked the tour so much that we spontaniously booked another tour with Alex for the next day, where he showed us the tunnel system of another cenote, which was equally stunning. For anyone searching for a more private tour, this is it, as the maximum of people on this tour is 4 people.

Not your typical commercial tour. - This is not your typical commercial tour. Alex is a local that takes small groups of up to 4 people on a 10 mile round trip bike ride into the jungle to experience a pretty cool cenote. He speaks both English and Spanish and we had wonderful conversations with him as he explained the history of the cenote and area. The cenote is a little primitive, so there is no place to change when you get there to swim, so keep that in mind. The bike ride itself was very easy gravel roads and the mountain bikes had plenty of shocks to smooth the ride. My wife does not cycle regularly, and she did great (though her butt got a little sore by the end). Any relatively fit person should not find the ride difficult. I would highly recommend this tour.

Fun bike ride and a beautiful swim - Alex was a great guide. He speaks English, Spanish, and French. It’s just him, his truck, and some bikes. He picked us up from our hotel on time. (Don’t worry if your hotel isn’t listed on trip adviser, just tell him where you are). The route is on a rough jungle trail. It’s mildly technical, but not too hard for most cyclists. I love to bike and I thought it was fun! He tells you all about the geology and history of the land and the cenotes. The cenote is super pretty. Crystal blue and clear and very deep in parts. There’s a platform to jump in and cliffs to jump off higher. Alex likes to free dive and it’s pretty crazy watching him go down so far. He brings goggles for guests. He’s very friendly and we had a great time!
