Super Isaac !!!!! - Isaac wasn't my waiter but as my friend, he was just another companion at the party, the best of the night. Amazing, don't hesitate to come!

Excellent show - It’s misleading advertising, the offer said “queueless entry guaranteed” and we had to wait 45 minutes. They must be clear

Big money box disappointing show exorbitant price - We paid 94€ per person for a regular ticket/entry to access the coco bongo de playa del Carmen with unlimited drinks in the pit. Very disappointing experience, already an hour waiting to be able to enter, then you find yourself in the lions' den, with so many people that it is impossible to move let alone dance. To get to the bar or toilet you have to play elbows. You are constantly being pushed around by bartenders and security staff. It's extremely painful. The show is quite nice but the different paintings last only 10/15 minutes each and between the paintings there is disco music but impossible to dance. Very young clientele and not the Chic type, rather vulgar. To sum up, the price is exhorribating for correct performances without more and the show is very short and sometimes disappointing. It's a big money box. To do one more time.

Please read before booking!!! - I’d think twice before booking this. It was not quiet as it was initially sold to me and my partner. It is described as a “show” which is not quite the case. I would describe it more as a nightclub with some dancers that pop up and dance to popular music for around five minutes and then disappear again. I would say it was 30% of dancing and performance and 70% normal nightclub. We were transported to the venue from our hotel with the transport provided in our ticket. Initially when we arrived we were taken to the venue and then were shown to a queue. We were actually taken to the wrong queue as the one we were taken to was for visitors that had paid for the extra packages. By the time we got to the front we were then told we were in the wrong queue and sent to the back of another, which was very long and took about an hour to get inside the venue. Whilst in the queue we were hassled by sales men trying to sell us vapes and people in costumes that would take photos and then demand money (luckily we didn’t fall for this trick). We were told that drinks and food were included in our package and that we would also be able to get a seat, stand if you fancied, so that you could be close to the show. This was not the case. There was no seating, I’m not sure if this was miss sold by the rep in our hotel, or perhaps because we were in the wrong queue initially and it took so long to get in we ended up missing out on seats. They packed the venue with as many people as possible, I don’t say this lightly. Me and my partner were on the dance floor the whole time and we were squashed into a crowd of people with nowhere to go or move. Trying to get to the toilets was near impossible as fighting through the crowds required you to get past people but there was so many people there was no space for anyone to manoeuvre so people could get past, so be prepared to hold it. Drinks were spilled often on people due to this and people getting irritated was common. It was also difficult to get drinks because of this as getting to the bar was a battle. There were staff that came around with drinks and took some orders however they prioritised those who paid for a table or seats. Again there was a constant flow of staff trying to get through the crowd which meant them constantly having to push past to get through. The food was awful, soggy tortillas chips with cheese sauce and a tiny cheese burger with some fries, saying that I wasn’t going for the food and I would be surprised if you thought you’d get anything better. The performances were not bad. The dances were themed on popular artists, Queen, Michael Jackson etc. There was some light hearted slap stick comedy included which wasn’t awful, a little sleezy. Perhaps if you paid for the better package or got a seat you would not be squashed and it would be more enjoyable. They did get people up to dance on stage, as seen in other reviews, it was a bit sleazy, as when they did they would blow their skirts up. They also advertise there would be acrobats however there was none, which made us think initially this would be a show. If you think this is going to be a performance that you are paying for and a “show” I’d think twice however if you want to go clubbing and also enjoy a few dancers so often this will be for you. I’m not sure I’d pay $174 (£137) for two people for the privilege though. I hate to be negative in these reviews but I just want people to be aware of what they may be purchasing, so they are not disappointed like we were. If you want to go clubbing though and enjoy that aspect then this could definitely be for you and the things I have pointed out might not be an issue for you.

But spending on coco bongo - Dire. The only thing that's salvageable is some shows. The waitresses prostituting themselves, giving more and more alcohol were plucking the tourists in exchange for letting them touch them, and so they were releasing the dollars until they left them lying. Plus a sexualization of everything. Unfortunate. Very low level. Whoever likes the puterio will like coconut bongo. I was hoping otherwise.

Sleazy and gross. Not a show! - Due to staying in Mexico for a couple holiday I was recommended by friends at home to visit Coco Bongo. The hype had made me book some regular tickets for my partner and I though our hotel. We booked for a Tuesday in hopes that it wouldn’t be too busy. Oh were we wrong! Our transportation had picked us up from our hotel at 9:15pm. They did not announce themselves on our arrival and the bus was not marked so we had no idea that transport was for us until we approached and asked ourselves which wasn’t that much of an issue. The bus itself though was very gross. It was clearly and old transportation coach which did not look clean in the slightest and had a slight mouldy look to it. Nonetheless it took us where we needed to go. Staff on the bus walked us to the venue and said we needed to be back for 2:50 in the morning to get back or we’d have to get a taxi. Again no issues but a part from that they gave us no further information and we were put in a queue of hundreds of people. The queue by the way was wrong and after waiting a long while we got to the front of the queue to be told we were in the wrong line and were sent to a different queue and waiting around another hour to get in. Finally we were in the venue and immediately the music blared, bass banging and it was a very chaotic unorganised mess. We had a normal regular ticket which we were told included some seating. This was a lie. We were crammed into a small square dance floor squished in like sardines with hundreds of others. It was my nightmare. The show itself is not a show. It is advertised as an amazing show better than vegas with acrobatic performances and over 40 artists performing. This is completely untrue. There were no acrobatics and the only “show” was 5 minutes of sleazy sexualised dancing to a song before they disappeared again for 30 minutes. During which the music was crazy, people were trying to somewhat dance but due to being so crammed in you were getting bumped and bashed left right an centre. The staff would try and give you whatever random drinks they had on their trays but the drinks were watered down like anything. They have a platform in The centre where they invite young attractive females up from the crowd to dance provocatively in their little mini skirts before blasting air up their skirts to reveal their underwear. Don’t get me wrong the females didn’t seem to have an issue with it but it was very gross and sleazy. There were people of all ages there but you could tell some of the older guests weren’t impressed and people started to leave very quickly. Overall it was an awful experience but would be perfect if you wanted to pay around £70 per person to dance in an over crowded club and see woman’s bums out. I would not recommend nor attend ever again.

Couldn’t see anything of the show - Do not waste your money on a regular ticket. You won’t see a thing. All I saw was the backs of peoples heads. Couldn’t even see the huge screens. Worst night out I’ve ever had. Tour company dropped us off at 10.45 in Playa. Had to make our own way to the venue. Queued for an hour to get in. Once in was shown to stools in the back row on the top tier where you could see literally zero of the show. If I tried to stand up and peer over the edge to try and see anything I was told to sit down as I was in the way of the waiters. Complained and was shown to other seats on the top tier and still could see literally zero of the show. Shown to a third set of seats on the next tier down. My friends could just about see but I saw just the backs of the heads of two guys who wouldn’t sit in their stools and were either standing or dancing totally blocking my view if anything. And why should those guys sit? It is a nightclub after all. I left and went and sat on the pavement outside waiting for the transport back to the resort. I repeat. Don’t waste your money or any part of your holiday on this.
