Magical and Family Friendly - This was an amazing excursion, my husband and I have visited many cenotes and we rank this one #3. Martén did an amazing job as our tour guide. He spoke English, Spanish, and French for our group. He was so consistent and informative, that it made the trip even more magical. Thanks, Marten and the crew at Rio Secreto!

A brilliant and exciting experience - This tour wasn't in the top 10 of things to do it offered by the hotel but it is well worth doing. You can visit just for the caves or combo with other activities. The good thing is, if you only want to do the caves, you don't have to wait for your transfer back whilst others do the other activities. Our guide Iliana was brilliant. Great personality and made the experience for us. We had English speaking and Mexican on our tour, and Iliana was brilliant at translating for all of us, so we all enjoyed the experience. The caves are awesome, and you get to learn about how they were formed. As you traverse through water it is all the more exciting. We selected this tour because it had a maximum group size. However, when you arrive, there are many groups but don't worry, they split you into small groups. Ours had 11 and in the whole time underground we never saw anyone else. It was brilliantly done. Lunch was buffet and plenty of food to satisfy the appetite you will have worked up. My only gripe is the price of the photos. 30 USD for one or 120 USD for them all is very steep given there are no printing costs, they are sent to you electronically. (Had no issues downloading them, was easy. ) This must put a lot of people off, which is a shame as the photography was eventful and captured some magical shots. You will need tip money for this trip for the drivers and for your guide.

Rio Plus - Aaron was a really fun and caring guide. The caverts were awesome. My husband started to not feel well from something he ate the night before during our trip and everyone was very accommodating and made sure he was taken care of. We would definitely recommend and would go again if we come back to Cancun in the future!

Explore a Magical Underground World - Some friends and I booked this tour from our cruise ship excursions. After reading some of the comments I was a bit intimidated by the skill level. My fears were unfounded as it was not as -physically exerting as some reported. Our guides were knowledgeable and kept clear and safe from obstacles while leading us through the limestone caverns and water that fills them. There were plenty of stops for photos and rest if needed as well as informative information about the geology, Mayan Culture, wildlife, and history of these gorgeous caves. The lunch served after was great and overall I would highly recommend the experience to anyone traveling in the region.

Wonderful, Fun, Fantastic Experience - Our tour guide Miguel was excellent! We had the best time! My husband and I are in our 50's and not in excellent shape and we completed the cave tour easily. Our 26-year-old daughter and a friend of hers were with us, too, and they also loved it. The wet suits made the water plenty warm. The Rio Secreto staff were well organized, and the lunch afterwards was great. We didn't buy any photos, but we knew going in that we wouldn't if they were priced high. You do have to watch your step throughout the cave and make sure you don't trip or fall or get scraped on a rock. If you have mobility issues or balance issues, you should not try it.

Don't miss this experience!! --- But 3/5 stars because pictures are $130 USD......... - THE ONE AND ONLY REASON FOR 3/5 STARS.... The no photos rule/price!!! They don't allow you to take your own photos, which I didn't mind.... until I found out the price of the photos. Full package for photos was.... $130 USD. One hundred thirty US dollars!!!! If you wanted just one photo it was $30 USD!!! Outside of this, I thought the tour was amazing. We got the pick up + upgraded tour, which had a bike ride, ziplines, and a rappel. Fun physical activities. The actual wet cave was amazing. Our tour guide Amber did a great job of shedding interesting information about the cave. It was truly a unique view and experience. I would highly recommend this excursion and it was a great experience, but in my opinion the price point for the pictures was just way too high. It was $130 USD for the photos... and this was AFTER we paid $129 per ticket to get in. Buying the photos was simply out of our budget at this point. I'm really sad we only have one photo from this place.

The place itself is very... - The place itself is very pretty but the so called tour is pretty much a walk thru the cave. There were no pictures allowed. Not much of explanation of the formations or stops for us to admire them. The swimming part was just part of the actual hike. We didn't have time to really enjoy a swim in the cave. The biggest disappointment for me was the quality n price of the pictures. They not only don't let u take your own photos, they try to sell you extremely expensive ones and in my case they were not good, bad angles and very posed photos. No pics of the actual cave n the rio secreto. It was not the best. I was disappointed. Too much money for what it is.

Good Guides but PHOTO PRICE 110 USD - The caves are what you see in the photos and guides of 10 (PEPE). The bad, we personally were cheated with the price, specifically the port fee, plus the pictures of the caves cost 110 Dollars and you can not take any photos or videos from inside which makes the beautiful experience tarnish and you feel like part of a simple business to enrich the company instead of being an experience you will not forget. Frankly, I think it's a scam.
