Amazing day - don’t listen to the nay-sayers! - Ignore the negativity! This was an excellent tour. We saw a lot, but didn’t feel rushed, and the swim in the cenote was a perfect end to the day. Our guide, Edmundo, was super friendly and knowledgeable, and he went out of his way to ensure everyone had a great experience. It was officially a bilingual tour, but he switched solely to English once he realized everyone on the tour spoke it. Only glitch was the company’s changing of our date and pick up time - we were lucky to be free on the alternative date, but I assume this wouldn’t be the case for everyone. Overall, a great experience 😊

Legit company and great family experience - Fantastic all around. Safe bus, on time pick up. Knowledgeable guides. Not a scam or a rip off at all. My wife and I took our three young kids on this event and they had a blast. Cenote was unique and memorable. This will be my kids’ sole cenote trip this vacation and it was well worth it. I’m a pragmatic, borderline pessimistic 49 year old father who wants value for his dollar and safety/education/fun for his family. This was great. Advice: bring Stanley’s or Camelbak type water bottles for Tulum - no plastic allowed, and it gets hot there. And, in Coba splurge for the Mayan limousines - well worth it.

Celena was a great guide... - Celena was a great guide who managed logistics really well! There were no unnecessary stops for shopping. Would recommend renting a bicycle or tricycle at Cobá if you want to see all the sights given the time constraint. Would still recommend !

Fantastic trip - Amazing last minute trip. The guide edmundo and the driver were brilliant, and very knowledgeable. Tulum is very open and very hot. Hat and water are necessary .The ruins are beautiful. Coba is the opposite well shaded and the ruins are dotted around woodland , they are stunning. Well worth a visit . Would highly recommend.

Decent experience, but a bit of a logistical mess - As much as I enjoyed the activities and as much as I appreciate the lengths the tour guide went to to make it a little easier for me to get to where I needed to be, the trip from the very beginning was a logistial nightmare. I didn't know that I wasn't going to be picked up from my hotel until midnight, the night before I was supposed to do the tour despite definitely adding that information through my booking. I ended up having to figure out how to get to the first stop (the Tulum Ruins) on my own the next day and even that was difficult due to the multiple enterences and landmarks in the area, making it hard for the cab to figure out where to drop me off. It also wasn't easy to find the group again after the guided part of that specific ruins was done. I will say that the second stop on the tour (the Coba ruins) went much better and I probably would have liked the cenote if I had stayed on for that part of it. Honestly, in retrospect, I would consider looking at some of the other tours, even if it means having to find my way to another meet point a head of time (many ruins tours seem to not do pick up in the hotel district) just to avoid the stress of struggling to figure out and get to where things are on time.

Pack your patience - Ruins were very cool, but we spent most of the day on the bus. Large group of at least 50 people. Took forever to get everyone met up and finally boarded. The cenote was a little underwhelming for our first one. The lunch buffet was pretty awful. Took two hours to get dropped off once finally back in Playcar, the bus dropped everyone off one by one at the various resorts/hotels…we were the most northern resort so we were last…LONG day. Pack your patience if you pick this tour.

The English translation was done in between the long explanations in Spanish, so it was hard to follow, it was lacking . - Tulum, Coba and the cenote were very nice . Wish the tour would be in English only so it would be more informative.

Don’t waste your money - Most of the time was spent on the bus, and the timing was not good. We didn’t have lunch until almost 4:30 so we were starving and lunch was not very good. They had miscounted the number of people and had to get a taxi for some people then we were dropped off at a central location where we went into smaller vehicles and my knees were pushed up against the seat in front of me. I’m only 5’4” so a tall person would really suffer. We also weren’t allowed to bring plastic water bottles into Tulum, no one told us until we got there and it was almost 2 hours in the hot sun without anything to drink. Since we got a confirmation email the day before it would have been nice if we were told so we would have brought a reusable one. Our guide was very nice and informative but the tour itself was not organized well.

Not a culturally informative tour. Lots of waiting, group of over 30 people. Cannot recommend - We were picked up at 8:40 from the meeting point in a small bus. We then had to wait 1.5 hours in the bus. The guide explained that multiple buses would drive together and we’d have to wait for them. We arrived at Tulum first. The tour was shared with the other buses and the guide had to do the tour with 30 people. The tours themselves were disappointing. We got close to no information and were just shown photo points. I can honestly say that I learned almost nothing from the tour and had to get my information from the internet after. Cobá was super rushed since we lost so much time in the morning. Here we did not have a tour at all and had to explore ourselves. The lunch and cenote were fun. We definitely would not do it again and rather go ourselves and book a private guide. If you want learn about the culture and history of the sites, this is not the tour for you. I do want to say that the driver and guides were all nice. It seems that the company is the issue. We witnessed an argument in the bus between the guide and the company about the conditions of the job. There were also tourists who were promised in the ticket that small group tours who were very disappointed that we ended up in such a large group.

Coba /Tulum - not worth 12 hour day with this tour guide anyway. - Everything you don’t want in a tour: enormous group, check. Multiple buses to go a much larger bus, check. Long waits and nonstop talking on intercom for entire 2 hrs, check. “Lunch” at 4pm, check. Separately, if you’ve seen ruins in Mexico City or Tikal, don’t think you will be impressed by Tulum or Coba. Skip it and enjoy a nice beach.
